This is the second pair of this brand compression socks I ordered. The first pair were XXL based on my calf measurement of 18 for one calf 19 for the other and ankle at 10 inches. Since XL max out at 16 inches for calf and considering sizing chart message it seemed best to go up a size, even though my ankle is more in line with the XL. Like many other reviewers the foot area was quite loose, the ankle and calf area seemed to have mild compression. I wore them for a day and they did help with swelling in my feet and ankles but I felt I wasn't getting full effect in the foot and ankle which are my primary problem areas. Considering the density of the fabric and stretch available I decided to take a chance on the smaller size and ordered these in XL and found that they fit perfectly. They give good compression without binding on the calf or around the knee at all. The ankle is a good fit, and for the most part the foot is better though still a bit looser than I would like, but not having folds of fabric like the XXL size. Over all I am extremely pleased. It has been years since I've been able to ride in the car for more than an hour or so without having my feet swell and am usually trying to elevate them on the dash. The day these arrived I put them on immediately and spent nearly 5 hours in the car with absolutely no swelling, two days later I made the trip back with the same results. I'm definitely a fan.

Just received them. I am 5’5” and weigh 150 lbs. I wear size 8 shoe and my legs are considered thin. I ordered medium. Very difficult to put on and impossible to take off. I resorted to cutting them off and throwing Them in the trash. Of course I cannot return them since I destroyed them, but just wanted to post this review. I am 79 years old and I guess my age has to do with the difficult time I had getting them off. I have a different pair with a zipper. Much better for the elderly

I bought this item for my girlfriend because she had knee surgery. She said the were very comfortable, looked good, and most important, they were still very tight on her leg.

I used to get terrible leg cramps at night. My doctor suggested I wear compression hose during the day. Welp, turns out - NO MORE LEG CRAMPS!! YAY!! Thank you for your marvelous product!!!

Unless a women is the same size as a man, the unisex sizing of the open toe compression sock doesn't work. The calf and ankle size can be determined, but not the foot nor calf length. There is too much material along the foot, causing bunching up, particularly when trying to wear a sock or stocking over it. Same with the ankle to knee measurement -- there is too much material that either gathers at the ankle or under the knee, causing unsightly or uncomfortable bunching. I find the compression socks that are from ankle to knee only a perfect fit and much easier to wear.

The product decreased the swelling in the lower part of my legs.

I always had black socks like tubes as a compression socks and never bothered with proper heel and never thought about covered toes. With those socks however its nice to have no toes as you can put them over your own socks. I used them twice and washed and they hold. reasonably priced and do the right job while flying a lot.

Waaaay too tight! I almost couldn't get it off my leg... I bought the XL for my broken ankle to wear inside my walking boot. I measured my leg and used the sizing chart before I decided on XL. I'll be returning these.

I found them the proper size for me and they are staying in place properly. I really like the open toes, this is way more comfortable. The pressure is not as strong as what I was expecting but it is still tight enough to do its role. As the compression is moderate, I find them comfortable to wear for a whole day.

So absolutely perfect, the open toe allows you to wear a sock and NOT sweat. Great compression sock - does it's thing.
