How I paired with Wink
So far this is working great. I bought this to help keep a Schlage Touchscreen deadbolt connected to my Wink hub, and although it didn't fix that issue (I think it's either a problem with the lock or how I paired it to my Wink hub) it's really helped the connection stability of my other items I have paired (so far, another Schlage touchscreen and some GE Link bulbs). The only issue I had is figuring out how to pair it with my Wink. The instructions it comes with only tell you how to pair using a Z-Stick or Minimote. Even when I researched online I had to piece it together. So, if you need to pair this with a Wink hub this is how you do it (or how I figured out how to do it anyway):1) Open Wink app on your phone (Note: I'm using Android, probably the same process for Apple)2) Go to your hub you want to pair this with (top left horizontal lines, press your hub button)3) Press the 3 dots on the top right, go to your hub4) Scroll down to "Z-Wave Controls". Before this next step make sure your extender is plugged into the wall (I saw where one person plugged it in as close to his hub as he could get, and then moved it, but I plugged it in where I wanted it and it paired fine (through 2 walls, about 20' away in another room)6) Press "Inclusion Mode". Your Wink app will then say "Waiting for ZWave devices to be included"; I held the button down for a few seconds and the blinking red light stopped and stayed red. I don't know if there is a scientific process with this step but that's what I did and it worked.7) At this point I assumed it was connected but I wanted to know for sure, so I played around in the app and finally figured out where to look - If you go back to step 2 (back to your hub), press the hub picture and all of the devices connected to your hub appear below - this extender shows up as an "Unknown Device". There's a little button below it, it was to the left and I moved it to the right and it turned blue. I have no idea if this "enables" it or what it does, honestly. It appears this is a handy little thing, especially if you have devices spread all over the place. I've found my Wink to be a little weak and this has helped, even with devices opposite of where I was trying to extend (especially my other Schlage deadbolt, which was finicky without the extender but has definitely improved). I hope this helps someone at least get it paired to a Wink hub, because the instructions could definitely be improved.

Works great with Wink Hub
Paired with Wink Hub in 2 minutes. I received this tonight and had it extending the signal from my Wink Hub in 2 minutes (I had already researched how to pair the extender). I can now signal my GoControl (Linear) Garage Door Opener to open my detached-from-house garage door from the Wink Hub located in the center of my house. Those that report the extender won't work with Wink apparently don't know how to include a Z-Wave device to Wink. Very simply... Wink App...Hubs..."3 Dots"...Hub...Z-Wave Controls...Inclusion Mode...Press the button on the Extender. The Extender LED will change from blinking red to solid red and voila... the extender is paired and repeating any signal from your Wink hub.Update: ADDITIONAL STEP MAY BE REQUIRED. Although the range extender paired easily with my Wink Hub, I wasn't convinced my signal was extending. I could now consistently close my garage door (better signal visibility to my detached garage with an open door); but I was unable to open the door when closed. I discovered another step that after completing allows me to open and close my garage door without exception. Perform this step after you have successfully paired the extender to your Wink Hub following the steps above. From the Home Wink menu, click on "Hubs". Now click on the image of the Hub and you will get a summary list of everything paired...one of which will be titled "Unknown Device". Slide the switch to the right. I expect this somehow enables the extender. Since I did this a couple of days ago, I have returned to the setting and found the switch to be off (not always though). The switch being on or off doesn't seem to make a difference as my ability to open and close my garage door is now 100%. I have no technical evidence to validate that the step described here is necessary; but after doing this, I am now able to open/close my garage door with every attempt.

Works with Piper, small in size & easy to use.
Pros:- Works with Piper :) -> it may not pair in first couple tries, don't give up, gotta have patience & keep trying with any Z-wave devices or electronic devices :)- very small in size (about 2"x2"x0.75")- not blocking other power socket- easy to use -> a little button on its side to trigger the "include" mode (some Z-wave devices require you to open it + remove battery in order to set "include" mode)- comes with manual- it works within about 30ft-35ft from Piper/main unit (now the it's located in my garage) then it extends the signal to another 30ft-35ft to my mailbox.- Price reasonable ($25-$30)Cons:- remove 1 star because of its durability, it broke in about a year after a power outage, I'd expect the unit can survive occasional power outage.- Hope the range can be a bit more. I first tested it about 40ft from Piper & it would not work nor pair at all, where my other Ecoline Z-wave sensor works in that range (gate sensor). Then I put it in a closer range 20ft = works, then 30ft = works, then 40ft = doesn't work.

NOT actually Wink compatible per Wink Support
The concept of this product is great - but it should clearly say NOT WINK compatible. Though there are reviewers that show you how to pair it with Wink Hub 2, Good luck! Good luck getting it to stay on, good luck getting it to extend the range, and good luck deleting it from your Wink system. I was not able to delete it - had to call Wink support to delete it on the server side. Wink support will make it clear not only do they NOT support this device - they do not support any range extender period. You have to either get an appliance that extends the mesh - or get an additional hub. I will get an additional hub (probably Hub 2) at this point so I can happily extend my range as needed.
