I have the little Illy machine which uses these pods. The coffee is excellent. I've been drinking espresso for 50 years and this is one of the most consistently good coffees out there. It's not cheap, but good coffee isn't and compared to some famous coffee chains out there, it blows them away! You will have a hard time finding better coffee at a similar price. Lavazza is also quite good. Just make sure your machine actually works with these pods. They do NOT work with most cheap, popular espresso pod machines. It is a very specific pod design. Check it first. Does not fit a Keurig!

Illy is the only espresso roast I buy. It has a perfect cream & smooth, rich flavor! It s the best. Try it and you’ll be convinced.

These capsules pull a longer pour which I like. The flavor might be a bit diluted or less exciting than the Brazil or Guatemala varieties you can try, but I’m happier with this. I’ve been ordering illy capsules on amazon for a couple years now, and the lungo tends to be the best value. Great thing to have around for the morning or when guests visit. Half the time during delivery the lid isn’t attached to the can in the box, but has never been a problem since there’s a foil peel off lid as well. I’ve ordered illy capsules about 20 times through amazon over the years.

This is as much a review of the system as it is of this particular pod selection. I've tried three flavors and they're all good. I've made espresso many ways over the years at home, and this one simply tastes the best. Much better, in fact, than most of the (U.S.) coffee shop's espresso I've had. Price is somewhat high for homemade espresso--the machine ~$170 and the pods are roughly $0.65 each (buy more and save if you drink a lot), but the cost is well worth it to me.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I like ily coffee, but the package was tempered by the shipper. Not sure if this was tainted or not

I've purchased this many many times and the lid is almost always lose or completely detached inside the package. One time it didn't even come with a lid, just the removable vacuum seal layer.

Lids to the cans that store coffee pods are missing. The seal is in place and not damaged.
