TOPPING D10s DAC MINI USB DAC XMOS XU208 ES9038Q2M DSD256 PCM 384kHz Hi-Res Audio Desktop Audio Decoder (Silver)

Used this to pipe audio via usb from a Raspberry pi as a cheap streaming solution. I used it as a replacement for the Hi-Fi Berry DAC+pro. It was vastly superior. Just get an external DAC rather than messing around with DAC pi "hats" by the time you buy all the components it is going to run you the same price anyway and the difference is night and day.

This is an amazing piece of kit.It has an amazing DAC built in - if you don't believe me, google the reviews.It takes a USB input and spits out S/PDIF (Coax and Optical) and RCA - all for £80!Probably my most positive recommendation I have ever given for anything I have bought on Amazon.Properly impressive.Thank You Shenzen Audio - and by the way your customer service is outstanding!

Excellent sounding, fully featured and simple to set up and use - can't fault it at the price

This DAC handles everything you throw at it. DSD. FLAC. HiRes. The only thing it doesn’t do is MQA.It also plays everything gapless.And the sound quality is fantastic. Precise. Balanced. Amazing depth and clarity.I currently use it plugged into an RPi acting as a Roon endpoint. I’ve also used it plugged into a Windows PC.For the price, a no-brainier. You will need to pay 10 times the price to match it.

The Topping D10 is a great bit of kit, fantastic value for money and seems to be well made but I had an issue with mine after 6 months use. The audio in one channel became noticeably louder and distorted easily, background hiss was high too. I tracked it down to a poor quality chip holder for the user replaceable op-amp. Something to watch out for. Other than this, very happy with it.

I bought this for my husband and it lies unused in its box..... you need a computer or laptop for setting this up and we have neither. I did consider returning the item but it would end up being more expensive to return it to China than it cost in the first place....My husband has since bought another system......

This is a great little DAC. The only input is USB which could be a deal breaker for some, but under the right situation (like mine) or if you only want a USB input it's a stellar option.Unlike other DACs that have Toslink and Coaxial inputs, this DAC has those as outputs instead, this was one of the selling points for me. I hook it up to my desktop gaming PC via USB, and I plug a ifi Zen Can Air headphone amp into the RCA output of the D10s. I then also use the Toslink output of the D10s to go into a cheap little Fiio D3 DAC, which is hooked up to some basic Creative computer speakers. This way I have only 1 output from PC (the D10s) but it's running my headphone amp and the speakers simultaneously, no need to switch outputs in Windows. Not many decent DACs have a way to output audio to multiple devices at once so this was nice to find.Also if you just want a simple USB only DAC as well, this is still a great option too as the DAC itself sounds great, although if you don't care about the screen there's probably cheaper options for a simple USB only DAC. Overall highly recommended

If you can't afford DAC's over 1K then just get this. For the price you will get:1. A good quality sound - something you've never heard from the 3.5mm jacks.2. Excellent built quality - made of Aluminum alloy box which is indestructible and durable.3. Very simple to connect from PC, laptop, smart TV, smartphone, and MP3 devices.

Works fine with 96 and 192 khz.The sound is very good and clear.But the unit doesn't come with a ground noise isolator, the manufacturer do sell these separately and either HS01 and HS02 would work, the latter allows for connecting several units to one USB port.My desktop is older, it had ground noise issues and I could hear these when I moved the mouse and from other noise created in the computer.My laptop, which is relatively new and of good quality, did not have these issues, I would not need a ground noise isolator to the laptop.But I use my desktop when I listen to music, I bought this unit due to noise issues and a cracking sound or that it could sort of freeze due to the volume knob and other issues. However this all solved when I replaced my SSD, when had created issues from around 87%+ health (a good SSD with 5 years warranty, which passed the warranty date).When I replaced the SSD, then these noise issues disappeared (My former dac/amp have a ground noise isolator). My former and now current Dac/AMP in one, which was quite expensive in the past, possible 17 years old for about 1200$, still works fine. So this stand-alone dac from Topping is back in it's box, waiting for when it's time to use it.
