Metal clipboard very good but the edge of a plastic window underneath paper is awkward.
The way the metal clipboard is held by the trifold plastic is by way of a plastic pocket, and the edge of this pocket makes a bump under the papers the clipboard will be holding. This can be a problem with punch-through or difficulty writing on this edge. Other than that, the product is made from sturdy materials, the strap is well designed with an easily adjustable buckle. In my opinion, it didn't seem like the E-6B calculator (not included) wouldn't come out of its pocket very quickly, and I like quick access to all tools in flight. I ended up using the metal clipboard without the trifolder, and purchasing a leg strap separately.

This was ok but pretty flimsy for being in flight.

The knee strap is too large to adjust to a smaller size leg; if it had more velcro it would be much easier to size down. There's no eyelets for rings; which means you can't laminate and attach your check lists using a small set of rings. The clip board is a touch too large for the case; which make it hard to pull out on the fly. Its a decent product; but don't expect too much.
