Thank you for your inquiry. Here are the proper directions for changing the battery and the battery type required . HOW TO CHANGE BATTERY: Replace battery when “” appears on display. 1. Remove the battery cover by pulling away from the base. 2. Using a toothpick (or other non-metal object) remove the old battery. 3.
