Great cabinet at an amazing price
I was super surprised at the quality of this cabinet. It is tough as nails and looks good. It's not too big for a living room or a basement, I have even run it in bedrooms at low watts. The handle it very well secured. As far as the sound, you would not be reading this if you did not know how awesome this Celestion is. It sounds fantastic, I play all genres, it punches through the rest of the band for metal in a major way. I use it for open stage jazz improve too and it sounds like butter on toast. Tasty. Of course, a lot of this depends on your head, so I have run it with an Orange micro terror (tube) a Boss Katana (solid state) and a Fender Blues Jr and a couple of others. It makes 20 watts sound like 40 and so on. It's got a surprising amount of headroom. The stand my amp is on is not part of the purchase. This an absolute amazing buy I the price. I'm getting another one!

AMAZING CAB & VALUE
Excellent build quality. Heavy duty. Nice Tolex. Handle is adequate. I purchased a “returned used/like new” item to save some money. It looked unused and in all it’s original packaging. I normally use Mesa Boogie for all my stage gear. I needed something small for rehearsals since space is limited in the studio, but wanted the Celestion V30 sound to match up with my Joyo Zombie II. I use a Mini hybrid Tube Screamer as a boost, but wow, great tone at 20W. And LOUD!!! Perfect match, perfect size. I have it propped and angled upward on a speaker stand, so it’s the perfect guitar monitor. Highly recommend. My normal gear photo… So I know my amps!

Value for Daze
This cab is a great value. Its well constructed and can get loud.Personal experience, not relating to the quality of product. This cabinet was larger than I had anticipated. I've only ever had smaller amps, largest being a single 10" Blackstar. This thing is almost too tall to sit on, taller than the 5 gallon buck i've been using when going out. Making it sound good is harder than my smaller setup, and you lose a majority of the intimacy you get with a small driver. The low end is just terrible. It can chunk or hum, any thing else goes into a hole an dies, so basically I lose a what I like about smaller setups. I might experiment with closing or opening up the hole, the response through resonance isn't pleasing, but seems to be optimized for chunking. I suppose a 2X8" would be a worth while thing to try. There isn't anything on the market here besides bass cabs, and it seems like a waste to push 20 watts into something designed for 200 watts.

Great Value
I got this for $150 with a Celestion Vintage 30 in it. It's made from 1/2" plywood and has bracing along the sound board (speaker mount) edge. It's painted inside and out, and wrapped in decent looking tolex, has a typical (cheap) handle and all the corners have protectors on them.It is 8ohm, so it works with basically any amp I have as a main or secondary speaker (when used with a combo amp). I have been using it with a Joyo Mjolnir (15 all tube head with a recto-style tone: absolutely CRANKS and CHUGS!!! with this head) as well as a Peavy Piranha (solid state, 20W, 6505 mini head) and an Orange Micro Terror (20 watt that sounds just like a plexi super lead cranked to 11 on this cabinet). It is 1/3 open back which lets it breath, but also gives it a little chug to it (good bass thump from the 12" when you are palm mute strumming).Overall, this is probably the best deal for the money if you need a cab for a 10w-20w head. It is small enough I can use it in my 250 sq ft apartment without taking up too much floor space, but it gives me the "chug" I have been looking for in a 1x12 cab.

Great speaker at an amazing price!
This a a great little speaker. Celestion Vintage 30 speakers alone retail for $170 new, so I don’t know how they made this available at this price! The speaker seems well built & sturdy & weighs about 30 lbs. The tolex seems durable & it has metal covers on the corners. I’m just wondering how durable it is & how long the cabinet itself will last. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars, because on the top left corner on the front of the cabinet, the tolex & the white striping looks a little crooked. When looking straight at it, you can’t really tell, but when you’re looking down at the speaker you can see it. Still, at this price for a wooden cabinet with nice tolex, striping, grill & a quality Celestion speaker, ya can’t go wrong. My Bogner Atma sounds great through it, & it matches well & looks great!

Great deal
This cabinet and the Celestion speaker sound great and an awesome priceSaw some negative reviews, about wonky trim and loose cloth but the one I got looks great and with a tube amp this cab comes to life. Sounds like a Marshall

Big, heavy and great!
UPDATE: after playing through it for a few weeks, I determined that the Vintage 30 speaker is not for me. The swap was straightforward but I did have to slightly bend a couple of the bolts to get a Jensen C12N speaker into it. The Jensen sounds great in the cab as well.-----I've only played through this cab for an hour or two but love it immediately. In case you are, like me, inexperienced with cabs, note this thing is BIG. My other 12" is a Blackstar HT-5 and this cabinet is about 30% taller and 30% heavier. But it is built like a tank and the speaker is great.I'm running a HX stomp through a Quilter Superblock fx return into the cab. I've been struggling to get a good amp in the room sound for the stomp, while still being able to use the amp and cab sims. I've tried an FRFR cab, using the fx return of an analog amp and using studio monitors. None quite fit the bill but I'm finally satisfied. And of course now I can some amp heads! This part might get cut from the review so goole what a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker costs on its own (currently $169) and it comes in this (currently $199) cabinet. What a deal.
