This hat is the widest brim sturdy sun hat that I could find on this platform. It is lightweight, cool, and soft on the skin, and the brim is opaque and wide, which creates very good shade. The mesh dome also fits my very large head and allows for good air ventilation through my hair. The dongle for adjusting the chinstrap and keeping the hat on your head is very useful too.That said, the khaki color is darker than I would have liked. I was expecting a light beige color and instead got an orange-ish clay color hat. (See the photo of the khaki hat against an ivory background.) However, I don't dislike the color enough to return it; this hat does the job of protecting my face and neck from the sun. I also expect the sun to eventually bleach this hat to a lighter color.So, this hat is for you if you're looking for serious sun protection in a lightweight, sturdy, very wide-brim hat while you're engaged in outdoor activities that require movement. It's ideal for hiking, outside walks, gardening, working, etc. in mid-day when the hot sun is beating down on you. It's not ugly or anything, but it is clearly intended for all-day sun protection first and foremost. (You will still have to wear sun block to block the sun rays reflecting off the ground and other surfaces.)This hat may not be for you if your goal is to look fashionable and glamorous while sitting still on the beach in a bikini. You'll have to get a different type of hat for that, and those hats are usually floppy, translucent and not truly sun blocking, and impractical for anything requiring body movement.All in all, this is a great hat and great value for the money. I'm glad I bought it, although I now wish I had bought the grey color one instead.

I am very satisfied with this hat. I have a migraine-inducing photosensitivity and bought this hat for outdoor days when it's crowded and I can't easily use a parasol (and my regular bucket hat won't do the job). It's brim circumference is almost comically big on me but it provides so much shade I really don't care. It is comfortable for an entire day outside. I appreciate the mesh on the side to allow wind to get to my head. The crown has enough room to add a cooling rag on top of the head as well. The chin strap is very sturdy. It would fold up easily to a large "triangle" if I wanted it to but I'm not sure how well the creases would come out so I choose to keep it flat.

Husband needed a wide brim out for when he does yard work. This is the perfect size and covers his neck. It’s light weight and seems of good quality.

I have a large hat size and it's hard to find hats that fit comfortably. This one is infinitely adjustable and more than large enough for me to adjust comfortably. The brim is wide and provides lots of comfortable shade in our southern sunny summers. The material is soft and cool. Being a farmer, I treat it pretty rough and so far it appears to be indestructible. I bought two more and gave them to my wife and a friend, they give it a "thumbs up" too!

Sometimes, you have to do the rider lawnmower on hot sunny summer days.The hat fits my medium-sized man's head perfectly. It lowers to include the tops of my ears and my face is shielded from direct sun.If it's windy, the wind will catch under the hat and raise the huuuge rim. Shades of Flying Nun. (They really like me!)The neck string includes a clip to keep the hat on tight, but if the wind catches under the wide brim, the string will pull through the clip, and the hat loosens up. That's a problem in the breeze for a sail-sized hat.My workaround is to take another clip, used in the kitchen for closing potato chip bags. I have a few clips that are only 2 inches long, I guess for really small bags. I clip one of them onto the neck string right below the hat's integrated clip, and then the neck string stays tight. The nuisance of flapping hat-wings is significantly reduced if the neck string is kept from loosening up.With such a big hat, there is also the issue of the neighbors pointing and laughing, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

8/10 Quality, It does it job to block the sun, but the brims are Weak, In Golf you get windy days, the brims will flip up, its useless.Its amazing when it rains for golf, The huge Brims does wonders, you can tilt it so the water doesn't fall in front of you but in an angle to the corner.The Fabric is great, the Breathability is good. You cant wear this in windy days
