Works great !
I have been modding my Dreamcast during lockdown by replacing the gd rom with a gdemu , newer and cooler power supply and replaced my controller ports with a led mod. I'm not a huge fan of the original dreamcast controller but have xbox controllers aplenty. I saw this item on a youtube channel and couldn't wait for it to be released ! Beware that no instructions come within the box so I had to go to their website to figure out how to connect the controller wirelessly . It's very straightforward and I connected my xbox controller .You must have the newer type xbox controller that comes with the S and X console variant ! It works like a dream and has made playing games much better than on the original pad. It come with 200 blocks of save space built into the adaptor so you don't need to buy a vmu if you don't have one. It connects only one controller so you will need 2 of these to use 2 xbox or ps4 controllers. I haven't tried a ps4 controller as I don't own one but would expect the same performance. I didn't notice any input lag but can't say that there isn't any. You can also plug this into a Sega Saturn and again would expect it to work as it does on the Dreamcast but again I can't confirm this. Pressing abxy start and menu at the same time resets the game the same as the original does ! I like this as it means I can keep my original controllers safe and use a nice modern controller that can more easily be replaced. The only thing I would change would be add a different colour option as its only comes in black which suits the Saturn more than the lighter Dreamcast. But this is being picky. Overall I am very pleased with this and will be thinking of getting a second in the future !

Finally some wireless support for the Dreamcast
I like the design and usage for two consoles, the ability to update it's firmware as well.it well made , my best luck was with the ps4 controller and xbox 360 , There are some problems with the Xbox one controller using wireless less but using a wired controller it worked great.by updating the firmware you also unlock 240 spaces of memory which is nice addition.the ability to custom a vmu pic is nice.

God sent, top quality product
At first you might think, like I did, that this little adapter is pricey. But the reality is that Brooks provides us with such a great quality product here that you cannot complain whatsoever.I bought one to use with my fight stick and it works wonder. In fact this adapter works just like the other PSX/PS2 adapter they make if not providing even more value since it has an integrated VMU in it giving much needed extra blocks of saved game memory.

Excelente accesorio

Works with racing wheels!
I had a specific use case in mind with this. Basically, racing wheels are big and bulky, and very expensive for Saturn, so I didn't want console specific wheels. I wanted to be able to get two generic wheels and use them with both Saturn and Dreamcast.I picked up a "Subsonic Racing Wheel Universal" (cheap off craigslist), which supports PC, Xbox one, PS3, and PS4. Verified that it worked in my PC, and checked the button/wheel mapping and found that it was using the left analog stick (left/right) for the wheel, the pedals map to LT & RT. I then tried using the wheel plugged into a Brook Wingman SD with my Saturn. (I did have to plug in an xbox one controller into the wheel, since that's how you put the wheel it into a specific system mode.) I loaded up Daytona Championship Circuit, and lost badly, but the controller worked great! Better than expected, actually, where the wheel worked correctly, and was in analog mode, the pedals were mapped correctly, and, bonus, the paddles on the wheel for shifting gears were also mapped correctly for shifting gears. I'm not sure that all games will work with the same mapping, but I was very pleased that everything worked as expected on the Saturn. Will update if it does or doesn't work with Dreamcast, but I suspect it will work just fine.UPDATE: I updated the firmware, and using a racing wheel does work with Dreamcast as well. Only downside is that Dreamcast has fewer buttons, so the mapping is not quite as good. But, Wingman lets you remap on the fly, so I was able to get it working how I wanted. Great product, and I love Brook for this stuff! Their retro fight stick board is amazing too.
