Great product.
Great product, arrived in the sealed Bosch box. Very easy to install, nice blue LED, instead of the bright red on my old motion detector. The best part is the range this unit has! I set it up without the pet option and range is 40', great for larger or long areas, like hallways or stairwells. You can also turn the LED off after install if you don't want it to illuminate when motion is detected. I'll be ordering more.

Definitely Choose this over the Cheaper Options
Definitely Choose this over the Cheaper Options: You can save about $5 by going with the cheaper Aurora, but I've got both and would definitely choose this one. It's like moving up from Ford Fiesta to a BMW 3-series. The cheaper option gets where you want to go and works well. But to change settings on the cheaper option, you have to manually connect/disconnect jumper links on the circuit board. Contrast this to the Bosch: dial indicators to turn on/off LED and to open/close. Very cool. Worth the extra $5. But, truth be told, I got the cheap one first, it works sufficiently well, and I'm too lazy to remove it, spackle & paint, and upgrade to the Bosch. I'll save the Bosch for my next project. Based on these two data-points, if I had to do it over, I'd go with the next level up from Bosch.

Great detectors
I must say, I was skeptical about these detectors at first. However, after hearing them being praised by security professionals, I decided to purchase 3 of them to replace my old Ademco Units. IMPRESSIVE. I can barely move and this unit picks it right up. Also, these don't make a clicking sound like my old ones did. The blue light looks cooler too. Installation was easy since the terminal block was built in to the base, and so is a small bubble level. I have a small dog and a cat, neither have set it off yet, when set to the pet immune setting. Overall, I'm impressed and would buy it again. They are simple to install as well, Just hook up the Red wire to the + and the black wire to the -. And the remaining 2 wires to the NC, NC terminals.

Not what I expected
The description "The Blue Line Gen2 Series of Motion Detectors use a combination of passive infrared (PIR) and microwave detection technologies with advanced signal processing. " implies that this is a microwave detection device, the unit I received is a PIR only. I was not impressed. However the unit works properly again as a PIR only device.

Works Great but Blue LED is Awful
Swapped out perfectly, no issues installing, and it works perfectly. The blue LED, however, is annoyingly bright. At night it lights up the foyer. I would recommend sticking with red LED devices and I'll switch this out at the first opportunity.

Doesn't work with a 10 pound cat.
I recently purchased 3 of your BOSCH SECURITY VIDEO ISC-BPR2-WP12 Blue Line Gen2 PIR Motion Detector and installed them last night. Today we set the alarm for away, and the cat walking down the hallway, setoff the alarm. I "think" I have the setting correct for pet safe (arrow should be pointing toward he pet symbol, yet?) If so, why did a 10 pound cat setoff the alarm from this motion detector that is mounted almost 8 feet off the ground, with the pet safe feature enabled?

No microwave feature
Item description indicates Blue Line Gen2 has combination PIR and microwave technology, this unit does not have microwave feature. Sensitive PIR warrants microwave technology to control false alarm traditionally. Great design for stand-alone PIR motion, easy adjustments. Integrated level built-in.

A must have if you have a contact only burglar alarm system!
If you have an alarm system consisting of door and window contacts only you MUST get an interior motion detector. I have been in law enforcement for over thirty years and most recently began reviewing burglary reports. I hate to say it but the crooks are getting smarter and defeating many burglar alarms. The way it is done is by simply smashing the sliding door glass or any large window glass. They enter without actually opening any doors or windows because many people do not have interior motion sensors. I strongly suggest you have a sensor incorporated into your system and if you have a motion sensor make sure it is still working. I learned ours went out but we were still able to set the alarm so who knows how long we were without a sensor. I called a local reputable alarm company thinking they would have a top notch sensor. They produced this exact model and quoted a discounted rate of $125 to install it. For less than $15 I had it from Amazon in less than 2 days it easily replaced the old sensor. It works like a charm and the blue sensor light lets you know it is working and it will also get the attention on any burglar.
