It works well and is quite loud, i rely on it in class C canyons for communication with team members.

This is my go-to for soccer officiating. I've tried numerous whistles and this is my favorite. It's loud and can be heard even with wind, it has a comfortable grip, and you can hold it either on the ridged sides or top and bottom. It's not as high-pitch as a standard Fox 40 which is something I like (no ringing in my ears like I get from the classic).

Thought I would try it for HS soccer. Works okay but hard to beat a Balilla plastic for tone. Have had that one for 35 years still works great. The fluorescent color helped with the recovery when it fell in the grass during the game.
