Where it says 30 count (pack of 3), does this mean 90 pods (45 servings)?

Hi that is correct, each box makes 15drinks.So total 45 as you thought.

Does anybody know if this machine takes the pods sold in aldi and lidl .

If it says compatible with Dolce Gusto, yes. However I never buy any but the official ones. I bought some compatible ones a few years ago. One exploded, filled the machine works with coffee grains, I had to buy a new machine.
