Works great.
I had the trutrac installed on my 98 Wrangler. It has worked great. Been on some more difficult trails and it has performed better than any of the clutch type limited slip that I have had. I get good traction even on loose surfaces and don't have to worry about breaking an axle when I get on rocky terrain. Considering one on the front instead of lockers. The problem of some grip required for power transfer is easily overcome by applying some brake pressure.

2006 Jeep Wrangler Dana 44 3.73 gears
Game changer. 100% worth it. Well designed and manufactured. Wish I had this done sooner! It replaced the open differential in the rear of my TJ. Way more grip in the snow and mud then before and much more practical for daily driving than a selectable locker. Where before one wheel would just spin when losing traction, now both rears dig in for grip and go. On dry pavement, it is imperceptible as it makes no noise, is smooth in operation, and doesn’t affect the turning radius. Can’t tell it’s in there until you are on a low traction service. The typical jack stand test used for clutch type diffs doesn’t work on this gear driven diff as spinning one wheel when both are off the ground results in wheels spinning in opposite directions. This differential does also work when in reverse. In all, I highly recommend.

Performed perfectly
Went on a 1200 mile road trip to the ozark national forest and put it to the test. True positive traction in the rear and no noise or on or off the Highway.

Verify fitment. Verify fitment. Verify fitment.
Based on others' experience, this is a good product, but verify fitment. Verify fitment. Verify fitment. Did I mention you should verify fitment. I called four different outfitters, told em what I had, and this is the one I "needed". The holes have to be drilled out for me to "need" it. Drilling, hardened, steel. Drilling something you paid almost $500 for. Really?

Traction on demand.
What else can you say. It works every time flawlessly.

Excellent purchase!
For anyone questioning if this fits a 2007-2018 JK non-Rubicon dana44 then wonder no longer, it fits. Gear sets 4:11 and numerically higher. It’s also drilled for large and small ring gear bolts. Very happy with the performance of my Trutrac!
