Teacher Created Resources Word Shark: Short Vowels Game

I got this game for my 5 year old to practice blending sounds. It is exactly what I was looking for and has a few different ways to play do it will be good to use for several years. I highly recommend this game for early reading skills.

I bought this for my kindergartener. I am also a kindergarten teacher. My skn and I both love it. He finds it fun and engaging. I think it is a great way to practice cvc words, phoneme blending, and letter sounds. I will be lamjnating the boards and using it in my classroom when my son out grows it.

As with the other Word shark :word chunk game; this was wonderful. My son has trouble with spelling and reading (6) so got both and now he going on almost 8 and he has come along way with this game. It fun to play with him and watch as he makes the connection.

The media could not be loaded. My 2nd grader really likes this game and my kindergartener finds it ok. My older kids who I did not by this for also ask to play .Overall it's a decent learning tool. I would suggest laminating the individual game boards.

Educational, helps a lot..... can be a smidgen boring.

Students love to build words with this! I love the easy differentiatio. Students can build the words with support by placing the missing letter or they can create their own words on the other side.
