The rationale behind veggie bodybuilding
I’ve been looking for this book for quite some time: a bodybuilding book for vegetarians. I’ve been both for several decades and have felt there was need for such a book and I’m happy the author, Jason Farley has penned it, and very happy that it’s so well written and all the recipes in this cookbook are ones that I can use as is, and don’t have to pick through and adapt the recipes with my own vegetarian alternatives. Every recipe in this book is meant for vegetarians, mainly those who eat eggs and cheese and not necessarily for vegans (no dairy, no eggs) although there are some recipes in here good for vegans as well. Many people, says the author think that animal meat is the only rich source of protein, but using a combination of seeds, vegetables and plant based products as well as health dairy options: protein need not be the taboo word of the Veggie world. People erroneously believe that building muscle is not possible if you are a vegetarian. This is just not true, says the author. His answer to bodybuilding for veggies is to have protein with every meal, have green on your plate, that fat is not evil and to drink lots of water.I liked how he has included one diet for bodybuilding, one for maintenance and a different one for weight or fat loss. The recipes themselves which cover breakfast, entrees, a snack and dessert are very delicious, like the Feta & Brawny Barley Stuffed Portabella, Brawny Veg Lasagna (vegan), Lean & Mean Veggie Burger, Choco Coffee Energy Shake and Cottage Cheesecake to name just a few of the 100 recipes in this book.

Worst cookbook I have ever seen
Doesn't even deserve one star. Very cheaply made, zero effort went into formatting and designing the layout. A lot of the recipes are one liners, along the lines of: "Mix all the ingredients and eat". Most recipes are very simple, and can be easily found online. No pictures whatsoever, other than the cover picture. And even that one looks terrible, very "grainy". Overall, looks like it has been put together in one afternoon, and printed on a home printer. In a cookbook, I look for original recipes and beautiful display of them. This "book" has neither.

Eh....
I had high hopes for this book; as an individual who is about 80% vegetarian, I am really looking to make the lifestyle 100% (obviously) but due to my macro's it is difficult to reach my protein intake. This book doesn't really seem to help that much in that area - the macros are listed but really don't seem to add up ( page 58, recipe macros P: 16g, C: 84g, F: 23g; that is basically all my carb intake for the day, and no where near my protein intake) that's just one example but they all basically resemble the same trend unless it includes protein powder or tofu (which I don't eat soy). Also there are no pictures of the end recipe result - I understand some of these recipes are pretty basic but there are a few that would be nice to get a picture of.

Two Stars
Content is good, but nothing makes a cookbook more deficient than omitting pictures.

Awesome Cookbook for Vegetarian Meal Prep
I love this cookbook and have been using it to prepare my meals every week for the past month. The recipes are high in protein and flavor! The only minor flaw I’ve found so far is that every ingredient is measured in grams, and I’m used to cooking based upon cups as primary unit of measurement. This has presented a small challenge. Other than that, it’s perfect. Great recipe for breakfast potato hash with tempeh. The black bean burger recipe is really good. I’ve also enjoyed the stir fry recipes and mushroom/tofu dish.

Good book
I have been trying to get into the vegan life for a long time, I just didn't find good recipes for my family to join the project with me, I got this book as a recommendation from a friend she had told me that the meals she made with this book were just amazing and I wanted to give it a try, well after 1 week of doing this amazing breakfast on my house everyone is happy and wanting more, my kids have enjoyed everyone of the meals and I have found all the recipes I tried easy to do and with clear instructions!

Worth of your money because this one is for real!
This book could really save you time and money. It is written by a vegetarian who teaches how to lose weight and these recipes are based on what he shares with his clients and what he also eats. There are literally plenty of healthy recipes inside which I think are also scrumptious. It has a complete recipes for everyday meals. I cannot wait to try and share these recipes with my loved ones.
