Fun, collectable punch-out plastic ships. I remember seeing them as a kid in stores and bought a few of them. It wasn't until opening an old box that I even remembered these existing.I wanted to buy one for old times sake, but realized they are discontinued. So here we are!They are simple to put together, and the game can be played with a single booster pack (although many times it would be an uneven fight, so two or four packs would be recommend if you want to play a more even match).

Fun strategy card game with neat card size plastic pop-out and assemble game pieces. My tweenage son loves them and has collected more than a few packs while still wanting more! So I would recommend them, just not to younger children – 1) the game pieces are small and can be fiddly and 2) due to the nature of the game (popping out the pieces, assembling them and disassembling them during game play) the pieces can easily snap/break if one isn’t careful.

The product has been previously opened and resealed. Not sure if that's because there is a collectors market for rarer cards or what, but save your money if you're a collector.

I am a great fan of WizKids. They have managed to provide entertaining products which challenge the intellect and provide a fun diversion (not to mention a great alternative to the XBOX, PS3, etc.). I purchased a few packs of the Pirates CSG on a whim. I had seen the product in a variety of venues and was impressed with the beauty of the small ships.After opening the package, my admiration for WK increased. Inside each $3.99 pack is a complete game. The rules are offered in a basic format as well as a more detailed version. I played the game with my spouse, not a gamer, and my 8 yo son. Each enjoyed the basic rules and the detail on the cardstock sailing ships was first rate. Even my youngest, not yet 6 yo, was able to measure the ship's movement and participate.A word of caution, the ships are NOT that easy to assemble. A younger child may find themselves breaking the delicate parts. However, with a little coaching - and patience - most anyone would enjoy this game.
