Save me time
If you don't have one, you better get one. This bolt socket extractor kit saved me so much time. One of my engine exhaust manifold bolt had rounded off and I got this tool. I hammer it the socket in and zap it off with a impact and it came right off. Good product I would recommend it to anyone

Extractor sockets
They work well on a bolt that's been stripped but do not try to put heat on the bolt because it melts and warps the socket and it becomes no good. They work well as long as you do not have to use heat

One Deal That Bites!!!
Purchased to remove heavily corroded exhaust bolts. I had done the prep work. Penetrants, wirebrush, multiple applications over a 72 hour period of time. The nuts had just begun to show signs of stripping. I stopped and.purchased this setThe bolts were in such a tight space that a 3/8 ratchet had to be manipulated into the gap. So hammering the socket onto the nut was out of the question. I was only able to get the socket approximately 2/3 onto the rusted nut. I was very nervous to apply pressure thinking 'This aint gonna work'!Even so, the socket had enough grip to extract all the bolts successfully. Given the conditions, this alone made the purchase well worth it.A friend asked to buy my set. Now I am going to order another full set of the same brand.

Tire lug was stripped tire couldn't come off
I striped a lug nut on my tire. I bought this to use on it. It worked.the 3/4 socket I needed was the largest one in this setWorked real well. I would have bought more of a range of sizes if I had paid attention.

Worked Terrifically!
I’ve got an old Toyota with a consistent oil leak. After a few months I finally broke down and bought the rubber gaskets that needed to replaced and crawled under my truck only to find a stripped nut. It’s evident the previous owner tried to remove this nut before and ended up rounding it out. I spend an hour trying to hammer on smaller sockets, only to have them rounded out by this damaged nut.I decided to look up tools on Amazon and this pack came up. I figured I’d try it for $23 and if it didn’t work I’d just return it. I honestly didn’t have high hopes.Today I got around to trying the extraction kit and the 12mm went on easily. I figured I’d have to hammer it, but it slipped on snug immediately. I figured this meant it would only round out further. Tried to hit it with my battery operated impact and it didn’t budge. I grabbed my 3/8 ratchet with low expectations. After attaching the ratchet to the extension I held the socket tight in one hand and the extension firmed up against the nut with the other. A nice firm tug and I felt a rotation. Still being doubtful, I checked the nut thinking it would be further damaged. I was presently surprised to so that the nut had come loose and the extraction socket had done exactly what it was intended for! So grateful that this worked. Very study sockets! I’m keeping this set as the last resort and I’m very happy I purchased it!
