Anker MacBook hub
Works great able to connect multiple devices… only issue is if you have a cover on you laptop you’ll have to either take the back cover off or cut the back cover so you can apply the hub. Overall work great.

Includes a Thunberbolt 3 port
It's really nice that this made-for-MacBook USB hub has a Thunberbolt 3 port that supports 40Gbps data, 100W PD and 6K video. Very cool. The other 3 USB ports are 5Gbps each, a little on the slow side but forgivable given the price. The microSD and SD slots are UHS-I. One unique port is the Lightning audio port, which is only useful if you still use the wired EarBuds (which I do) and certain Lightning audio devices. Overall, a great MacBook hub. If you want more USB speeds, consider the 7-in-1 hub from Satechi.

A Perfect Accessory for my MacBook
I have a MacBook Pro (2019) and this fits perfectly for the USB-C spacing on the side of the laptop. I love that it does not use a dongle and with the dual USB-C connection it securely hold itself to the side of the laptop without moving around. It offers a wide range of connectivity options. Once complaint I have always had about the MacBook is there is no USB-A connection, but this fixes that issue. It is plug and play. The device is made of metal and is very sturdy. I just throw it into my backpack with my laptop and plug it in when I need it.

For MacBook 14 inches great. For MacBook 16 inches, not a good idea.
Functional good but not suitable for MacBook 16 inches. The hub will block the charging port. If I use the charging port on the hub, the temperature will be increasing. In the end, I have to gift it to my friend who use MacBook 14 inches and she said it works well. (Edited to correct the information)

The Portal to the Quantum Snack Dimension
This Anker hub doesn’t just expand my MacBook Pro it transmutes it. One USB-C port opens a wormhole to a parallel universe where chargers multiply like rabbits, monitors whisper secrets in binary, and mysterious blinking lights dance in ritualistic patterns. I plugged in a mouse, and suddenly my keyboard started sending me encrypted love notes. It’s less a hub, more a digital shaman guiding me through the tangled forest of productivity and procrastination. Five stars because reality bent, and I’m still here, somehow charged and confused.

works well
my old (brand X) dongle like this was getting to be a sloppy fit. sometimes that meant I would find my laptop was not charged overnight because the old one had gotten slightly pulled out. The new one fits securely and has worked well.

Just what I needed
If you have an older macbook pro (2018) as I do and you need a dongle that can handle your every day to day needs, this one is right for you. It was package very well and came a small carrying bag. I liked that the design was sturdy and matched the color of my laptop perfectly. It fit exactly as described with very little play in the fitment. I used to read my external drives as well as my SD cards. The connection was super fast with no lag time. If you're in need of extra external readers then this is a definite "two thumbs up"

It's flawed in multiple ways.
One of my main reasons for purchasing was to use the MicroSD Card slot to expand my MacBook Air's storage capacity by 1 TB, but the speeds on the card reader are not great when compared to another card reader plugged into the USB3 port. It's really a shame because I want the best speeds possible but I don't want a USB device hanging out of my computer 24/7. The MicroSD card reader built into the Anker Hub is sleek and low profile, the speeds are just not optimal.Furthermore the fit and finish makes it feel out of place on an Apple product. It floats slightly higher than the body of the laptop, with a bit of a lip when it should just fit flush. The color is slightly off from the MacBook's Space Grey and giant ANKER logo looks a bit ugly on a sleek, clean looking Apple laptop. The hub is only held in by 2 USB ports and there's some up and down play I don't like. I could easily imagine if enough force was put on the hub it would just break off and damage my Macbook's only two ports. If there was just a bit of metal on the bottom that hugged the profile of the laptop and secured it in place that could be less of an issue. Then there's this mystery "lightning audio" port that I'll probably never use. I'm new to owning a MacBook so maybe there's a common use case, but I'm not sure what that use case is. My laptop already has a standard headphone port, but maybe lightning audio is higher quality sound? Is it so I can use the awful cheap lightning earbuds that used to come with iPhones? In closing, I bought this Anker hub over some cheaper options because I thought it would be more premium and "just work" for my use case, but it's frustratingly imperfect and leaves me wondering what I should have bought instead.
