A two-part, Thinking Allowed video hosted by Jeffrey Mishlove. Therese Schroeder-Sheker describes her pioneering work in the application of palliative music during deathbed vigils. She also discusses the medicinal uses of music, pointing out that ancient traditions refer to music as a bridge between the earthly plane and the various celestial spheres through which it was believed that the soul journeys. Schroeder-Sheker is director of the Chalice of Repose Project at St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula, Montana, and an internationally known musician and recording artist.

Wonderful and inspirational interview but poor audio quality!
I was disappointed in the audio quality of this DVD.I was not able to play it on my TV.I tried it on my computer and could BARELY hear it....but at least I could hear it a bit by listening very closely.I needed it for a course I am taking, so this was very frustrating!I hope they will fix the problem!
