A fix if your camera won't connect!
The media could not be loaded. Many users have returned the Teentok camera because they can't connect video to their iPhone. The secret is to turn off Cellular Data on your iPhone before trying to connect the Teentok to the recommended RICAM app. Otherwise the app can stick in the "Open Preview" mode as many others have reported. After the app connects to the Teentok camera you can then turn Cellular back on for phone calls and navigation but your iPhone battery will last longer if you leave Cellular off for your ride..My main interest was finding a wireless video "rear view mirror" for my bike. Many camera apps will work with the Teentok. But Teentok recommends RICAM app and it is one of the very few apps that will reverse the video so that objects on your left appear on the left of your video screen. It's really confusing and unsafe when a car passing on your left appears to pass on your right on your video screen. Once you successfully connect the Teentok to your iPhone/iPad (with Cellular turned off) you can then go to Ricam Settings (gear icon) and select "Sensor Mirror" and the camera will then properly "reverse" so the traffic behind you shows on the proper side.Manufacturers Instructions are poorly written but the following steps allowed me to connect Teentok to RICAM app version 1.1.2 on my iPhone. Before you start there are three side buttons that control the Teentok. Top button is ON/OFF for camera and lights (but does not turn on wifi). Middle button switches light modes. Bottom button turns on wifi and switches camera between video and snapshots. Button pushes are not instantaneous, you must hold to activate modes.1- Insert micro SD card (won't work without) and charge unit.2- Press Top side button to turn on unit. Lights will flash.3- Turn Cellular Data "OFF" on your iPhone/iPad settings, (Must do this every time before connecting)4- Press Bottom button until you hear TWO beeps then release. This turns Teentok wifi "ON". (Must do this every time you turn on Teentok as wifi does not come on automatically. Be patient and wait for TWO beeps.).5- Now select WI FI on iPhone settings.6- Wait for TO3_0000008189E5 (Teentok wifi network) to appear in wifi networks and tap on it.7- If TO3_ does not appear, turn your WIFI off and back on. Be patient and when TO3_ does appear, select it.8- Now go to your iPhone Apps and select the RICAM app. Click on white button between phone and camera icons.9- Camera connects and you have video.10- Select settings, select "Sensor Mirror" "ON" (only have to do this the first time) and then tap back arrow to video screen. You're ready to ride!Using video for a rear view mirror can be controversial in the bicycle world and you have to decide if you are comfortable doing it. WiFi can drop/freeze signals and the onscreen video can lag. If you're looking at a screen then you're not looking at the road. But if you can train yourself to glance at the screen and not stare at it (just like in a car), Iit's incredible to know what is coming up behind you without having to twist around and/or use a bike mirror that can be almost impossible to see. This is one of the few wireless products that can do the job and show almost real time video on your handlebar plus take video's and snapshots. And the video is high quality. It's a winner!

No response from technical support after one week.
Camera/Tail Light works ok and connects to iPhone 12 (IOS 14.2.1) by Wi-Fi ok. RICAM app 1.1.2 keeps "settings" gear grayed out and I just get a "wait" indication on trying to connect camera in app. Can't turn on "sensor mirror" display. Camera reset doesn't help. No answer from [email protected] after 1 week. If no support given unit will be returned. Bike mirror Mirror use is necessary. Low rating due to app not working and no response to date from support.

revised review- again- this camera takes some patience to learn, but it's a good value
I experienced similar results to several other people in the reviews- trouble connecting the camera to the 1-star rated RICAM app (connection made through WiFi, but nothing displays on the screen). If you don't use the app, the camera performs fine, the video quality is pretty good, and the battery life also, despite the fact that it's also putting out a flashing red light. But you need the app to set the correct date/time stamp (or have it removed altogether), and the settings key was grayed out (inaccessible). Nor could you view saved files through the USB cable; you have to pop the card out and put it in a separate card reader. It's not clear how sturdy the rubber door/gasket to the card slot is if you constantly need to access the card or charging port. Mfg support is through Facebook messaging and during the course of troubleshooting the above issues, the camera appears to have up and died after only 8 days (4 bike rides; it actually malfunctioned on the last bike, didn't record when it was supposed to, and it recorded when I thought it was off!!?)- no amount of charging, button pressing, etc. seems to revive it. Support has offered to work with me on a replacement, we'll see how that goes, but the initial running has been unfortunately bad. I'll update on whether the replacement works, or I decide to return it; I have until early Feb.Update 2/8/21 Here's what I learned with the new/replacement camera:Charge the camera fullyFormat the microSD card before use; mfg suggests 32GB, but mine initially seemed to work with a 128GB cardYou must use the RICAM app to set the current date/time from your phone; disable the cellular data before starting RICAM, you can reconnect cellular data after establishing the connection to your camera (you should see a live image with perhaps a 1-2 second delay)There are other comments/feedback on how to set a mirror effect if you intend to mount your phone on the handlebars and use it for live rear viewing (I'm unclear on how this might run your phone's battery down, so I'm not that interested in it)I noticed my initial videos were 'locked'; if you request it, the mfg will send you a file FWT03.bin that you should copy to your micro SD card; the videos after that were unlocked and will be overwritten as the memory cycles through. The file also seems to erase itself after the initial use. Also, the knurled knob on the screw is loose/not one piece; I had an issue with the screw slipping out, and when I re-inserted the black knob, it spun in place when I tried to re-attach/tighten the camera in place because it was 2 separate pieces. Luckily, I had a Philips driver on my bike multi-tool and was able to then tighten the camera back on the mount and hopefully friction-force the black knob to stay in place. What I'm still trying to figure out:1) Changing from video to still pictures. I held down the (3rd) camera button and heard 2 beeps. Thought I was taking still pictures, then held the button again to switch back to video (heard 2 beeps again). When I examined the card later, all of the files were video; no stills.2). Twice now, with two different Teentok cameras, I tried powering the camera on, no beeps, and only a single light (at the top) blinks continuously. The first camera ended up dying (unrelated to this?), the replacement camera was reset by holding the power and star buttons simultaneously, powered off, then back on again, 3 rapid beeps (normal) and normal light/video recording. But you need to use RICAM to re-adjust the date/time. I'd really like to know what causes this single blink condition that needs a camera re-set.I am cautiously upgrading my rating from 2 to 4 stars, now that I've figured out more (but not all) of how this camera seems to work.2/10/21- dropping from 4 stars to 2 stars, seller is no longer responding to my Facebook messaging, this camera is falling short of it's purported abilities.3/17/21- another revision... you need to have a lot of patience with this camera; it has so much potential. I finally connected again w/ the seller, he was out on holiday previously. Everything seems to be working again- the last fix was to re-format the SD card, then reconnect the RICAM app to establish the correct date and time (it wasn't recognizing that daylight savings time had started)- remember, cellular data must be turned off temporarily and WiFi (not bluetooth) to connect your phone to the camera. So, there are a couple remedies to remember for any future problems: (1) power/star to do a camera re-set and (2) re-format the SD card. It's not entirely clear why these random problems can occur, but at least there seem to be fixes (so far!!). I've giving the camera a 4-star rating due to the previous problem with the knurled screw handle and the somewhat steep learning curve.
