Great structure, just awkward instructions
I changed a bit around and customized it to look more like my parents place. Textured wallpaper and changed the fireplace, tv, etc. Overall, great base but difficult instructions, although this was my fifth miniature house so I knew what to do.

Get some markers to skip the painting
Lots of painting on the stairs. Used my usual trick of permanent markers to skip endless coats of painting. Also used self adhesive felt for the stair runners instead of stuff provided that would also need painting. I don't like painting.Had to assemble lights, which can be tricky. Prefer pre-wired ones. And the little test tube things in the blue shelf were a pain - I didn't use cut up paper, but used chopped up polymer canes (like used for fruit slices) instead. Much easier. So after all the griping this kit was cute with the sofa and old fashioned TV. Would be fun to have a whole series...especially old time kitchen. Fine for a beginner but with some experience the builder can use work arounds to make it less frustrating. Should have a dust cover available, but will make my own.

Very fun, you need a lot of patience, detail oriented. You assemble absolutely every little thing.
The media could not be loaded. I liked almost everything about this. I felt like the instructions were pretty easy for me even being a first time beginner. There’s lots of little things that I think he would get better at as you go. As you see in the video and in the subject line, this is extremely detail oriented down to every finite little thing. I had no idea I would be making the entire couch I thought maybe the couch came with it, and you assemble the rest of it, but as many of you know who have done this before there’s no such thing in these miniatures —everything is created by hand. The good part about it is it teaches you how to build furniture in a sense I mean it’s made a lot different, but it gives you a general overview of how to put things together.

Solid Addition to the Robotime Line
Great kit. All the usual hallmarks of a good Robotime/Rolife product are here—clear instructions, well-marked bags, components small but not tedious. Compared to similar kits like the greenhouse, library or studies, I’d note the following:1. There are a LOT of steps to this. It probably took me longer than other kits because of the number of pieces. But there’s a lot of variety in the pieces you make so you don’t get bored quickly.2. More painting than usual (and the kit could have done to give a second container of the blue paint). The staircase pieces do not come pre-painted.3. The scale is a little off...the piano is too small compared to the television and couch. Tiny nitpick really, though.4. Decent chance for personalization. I personalized the television screen and pictures, and made my own choices with what’s on the shelves and placement of plants (and subbed in a few extra plants I had from other boxes). This is my favorite part of the kit.5. I am probably just bad at it, but I couldn’t get the light fixtures to work and finally scrapped them. This happens a LOT with these brands.I was mostly able to use Beacon 3-in-1 Glue, but had to turn to hot glue to finish some of the wire pieces. I’d also make sure to have a blade on hand before you start, because I had to widen some of the holes in the floor to fit the staircase pieces. All in all, I’d say this is a really good choice if you’ve done some of the other kits and want something a bit more dynamic and challenging.

Fun
Fun activity but needs lots of patience and attention to detail.

Not for beginners
I have completed many of these miniature kits. This kit was enjoyable, however the instructions are lacking. I would highly suggest watching YouTube videos on this build to work out the stairs and the blue wall cabinet. The instructions don't follow a logical build order. You'll figure it out eventually. I had to rip my stairs apart after I glued them and saw some of the blue shelf components to get them to fit correctly. Enjoy!
