Beautiful Huge Hand Carved Mahogany Wood Turtle Ocean Coral Statue One of Kind

The detail on this turtle is amazing. And they weren’t lying when they said it was huge! It’s the size they said in the measurements. I’m not complaining. I did expect the turtle to balance more at an upward angle on the base as it looks in the images, but the turtle is horizontal. It’s also heavier than I was expecting in a good way - seems very sturdy and well made. Now to find a place to put it where the kids won’t want to play with it...

Absolutely love this turtle. Holds a special memory for me. Took my Dads ashed back to hawaii and after we buried him a big sea turtle came up next to us on the beach.Then next day at our hotel another turtle came up. When we went snorkeling one came up and swam next to us. So I always think of my Dad when I see a Sea Turtle. Now I get that great memory every day when I see the beautiful carved Turtle you made.Thank you!

I ordered this turtle because it is beautiful in the picture. I received it and it was sticky. It appeared to be stained and not sealed. I was disappointed and returned it the same day in exact same packaging. I was not given a full refund. They charged a restocking fee of $48.48. Another disappointment. Just beware to anyone who orders that restocking fee is extreme.

Super happy with purchase. Carved turtles can be in the thousands! This look way more expensive than it is. Such a great price for such an elegant carving. Love it!!!

It is MORE then I expected. Yes it seems kind of expensive for what it is. But WOW! The craftsmanship had to of been done mostly by hand. Came well packaged. All I had to do was insert the front flippers and insert the stand on the bottom. The stand was a real tight fit and still didnt go in all the way. But you cant notice. I'm sure with some more patience it will go in more. But it stables the turtle perfectly. I will update some pics later. Thank you. I would highly recommend this to the avid seaturtle collector.

I like the etching in the wood. I might improve the stars once I get brave enough to get out my Dremel too to reshape the holes where the fins attach. One can somewhat go into place but slides out. The other, the hole provided to slide the fin in is about an inch too small. So this has become partially my own project.

This carving is just stunning! As soon as you enter the room you notice it. I will enjoy it for years to come as it reminds me when we swam with turtles in Hawaii. Carving is very accurate and the detail is impressive.
