Serves it's purpose. It does have some imperfections. A Montessori website sells these exact learning trays for double the price for one! I may have to sand a bit but I feel it's a great buy. I'm excited for next school year.

These are lightweight and, while not heirloom quality by any stretch of the imagination, they are well constructed and an excellent value. I used one for sorting crystals and stones and the end result is quite lovely, with all the stones in their little geometric shaped compartments. I plan to use the other for sorting dried flowers or herbs, for projects, and I have so many of these to sort that I probably should order another set of the trays (or even 2)! They would also be lovely painted with chalk or latex paint, and/or with decoupage added. Alternatively, the unfinished wood could also be stained and then coated with polyurethane (or a strong, glossy coat of shellac) to enhance the natural wood and provide a more durable finish. A wire or hook could be added to the back and the tray could be hung on a wall as a small sectioned shelf. These trays have so many possible use-unadorned or finished in a nearly unlimited assortment of possibilities. If you're thinking about it, go ahead and buy it!

Bought 2 sets, glued 2 together to make large trays. Perfect size to store my pastels. Lined the bottoms and then cut 1.4 inch plywood tops and memory foam to make covers. I cinch the covers on with web belts for security.

It’s a cool idea but execution is poor. I’ve had them a couple weeks and they are now bowed. They have had no contact with moisture, but are slowly curling up. They are also much shorted than i expected. I got them to be nature table trays with little nicknacks the kids find, but they only hold really tiny items. Only small pebbles, small shells, will fit. If i could get this tray 2-3 inches deep and about 20-30% bigger holes these would be amazing

I'm absolutely very happy with these trays. Delivered well pakaged and very sturdy trays which will suit my purpose beautifully. The price didn't disappoint. The size is perfect for affixing my small faux succulents in them for wall art.

When we received them they were split.

My glass students love this 5 section tray. Making individual fused glass panels for each section then gluing them in for a really awesome display. The trays are sturdy and they look really nice whether they are painted, stained, or left natural.
