Finally found the one
It goes without saying that all saddle reviews/opinions are very, very subjective.I'm 5'8", 185# riding an old school hardtail on trails and gravel paths with my go-getter 7 year old. I spend a lot of time in the saddle on our rides, which average about 10 miles. My 2000 Gary Fisher came with a WTB saddle which, to it's credit, somehow got me through about 15 years. In 2016 I did a rehab on the ol' Fisher and replaced the WTB saddle with an ARS. The Planet Bike ARS is a GREAT saddle, and bang-for-the-buck I just don't know that you can beat it.Well, it's spring of 2020 and I stupidly decided to replace the sorta-worn ARS with a WTB Speed and after 11-mile and 10-mile rides over two days my sit bones were screaming. Why I ditched the ARS, who knows. Just liked the look of the Speed I guess.Anyway, the ARS had been tossed and I was mad at myself for not leaving well enough alone so I went all in and ordered another ARS, this Serfas Rx and a Selle Royal. Thank you, Amazon, for free returns.I didn't unbox the ARS because it was a known commodity. The Selle Royal is a very, very nice saddle. Super comfortable, maybe not as immediately comfortable as the ARS, but visually a better looking saddle and perhaps more durable. So I did some driveway testing with the Selle and even with sore, sore sit bones I knew it would be great. Then I tried the Serfas Rx and Holy Macrel, this is the one. Even with sore sit bones, it was immediately comfortable. Like, super comfortable. The padding is fantastic, as is the gap for the sensitive bits, but I think the secret to this saddle is both the shape and the flex of the shell under the padding.I think I'd be 100% happy with either the ARS, the Selle Royal or the Serfas, but after a lot of test riding, for me, the Serfas won. My first ARS served me well for a long time and honestly, if the Serfas ends up being a dud for some reason I'll just go back to the ARS and forget all this testing nonsense. The Selle was the nicest of all three in terms of looks and apparent build quality, but the Serfas seemed to have all the comfort of the ARS and then some, with the nicer material of the Selle. Which one is right for you, I have no idea. But you'd be hard pressed to go wrong with any of these three, in my opinion.

Wasn't for me, it flexes in the middle.
This is a well built product but unfortunately it just doesn't work for a really big guy (6'3" and 340). Maybe I missed something in the description. None the less please keep in mind that the two halves have the ability to flex in the middle. I you are a big person anything that gets in the groove gets pinched again and again as you pedal. For a normal size person it may be great, but that was not the case for me.The quality is spot on and I wished it had worked for me, its a nice seat.

SMART DESIGN, SOOTHING COMFORT, HIGH-END PERFORMANCE, GOOD BUY!
I'm 6'1"/158 lb. and I installed the Serfas RX-921V RX on my Trek SuperCommuter 8+ electric bike atop a Kinekt Suspension Seatpost. I always ride with padded bike short liners (Pearl Izumi Cargo Liner Short), for both the padding and to "smooth out" the riding surface. Sweaty cotton underwear creasing and bunching up between the butt-area and the saddle is a ride killer.I've never had particular saddle problems with any of my mountain or roads bikes before, but with the added weight of the ebike coming back at me while riding over imperfect roads and trails, I thought I'd give this Serfas saddle a shot to see what additional comfort I might obtain on my daily commute and longer rides.Frankly, I was amazed by how much MORE comfortable an already relatively comfortable ride became as a result of the Serfas saddle. The added cushion was a plus, but the functionality of the split saddle is where the real benefit was apparent. You can readily feel the independent support of the two saddle lobes. Riding the Serfas saddle also made me realize how I've come to take a certain amount of numbness and soreness for granted during longer rides. With the Serfas saddle I experienced a distinct and noticeable lack of numbness with no hint of soreness/nerve fatigue over rides of 30+ miles. The Serfas saddle renders the shorter, daily commuter miles all the more enjoyable. The Serfas is not a very expensive saddle as bicycle saddles go, which makes it worth more than every dollar spent. It just feels freakin' good!

Great on my hybrid bike.
This is my second Serfas Rx seat. The first one lasted 5 years and 10,000 miles on my hybrid bike (you read that right). The first one was comfortable so I bought another one - it has about 2,000 miles on it. As long as I ride hybrids I will probably use these seats. If I go back to a touring bike I will likely go back to Brooks. I use my seat on a 2005 Specialized Crossroads. I ride about 2500 road and paved trail miles a year. I am 6"0" and 210 pounds if that info helps. The initial seat was a recommendation from a local bike shop.

Highly recomend this saddle.....
I highly recommend this saddle for anyone that is going to be touring..... I always end up buying a guys seat because the slit in the seat accommodates a women's area better.... I don't know why they think a the slit on a women's seat is is big enough it's NOT.... I Love this saddle seat it moves with the bumps in the road... The slit not only goes to front all the way back but it moves in such a way that its kinda independent of the other side. I don't know if I explained that right - - But it gave me even more shock absorbing on top of having a Thud Buster seat post. I had a Selle Italia saddle for women sharp looking seat but very uncomfortable for the tata area. I felt like I was being smashed which after a 26 mile ride I was extremely sore... I put on the Serfas saddle seat for my next day ride & road 35 miles on a Tandem bike. Being a stoker you get the bumps in the road harder than the captain..... Even though I have a thud buster seat post on to help that problem I was felt very uncomfortable with the Sella Italia saddle seat..... But it was day & night difference in comfort with Serfas Saddle seat. My husband has the guys version of the Selle Italia saddle seat & after two days of riding he was felling it pretty good..... I made him sit on my seat & Now I'm buying one for him as well....K. Manz

Item looks awesome.
A beautiful quality item, very professional looking and I hope it will prove this in use. Having recently bought an indoor spin bike (NordicTrack) the wife was complaining about the seat so having tried a few I saw someone recommending the Serfas brand. It is certainly a beautifully designed and made item and I am hoping that it will prove more comfortable than the stock seat. The item was ordered with an expected 14-day delivery (*during these unusual COVID times as clearly this is not an essential item) but lo and behold it arrived by courier the next day. Cannot praise the company, Pacific Point, enough. Superb service. Thanks.

The first thing you will notice as you unpack this ...
The first thing you will notice as you unpack this seat is the quality, it looks very well made and oodles class. Slightly heavier and larger than the saddle it is replacing but not as heavy as I expected it to be. This saddle is to replace an uncomfortable stock saddle off a recently purchased Trek 7.4 2016I have done a quick 10 miles on it and I can report the comfort level as superb, the sides flex but not too much, the padded seat is soft and although reported as being waterproof I haven't been out in the rain yet so cannot confirm or deny this.

Just what I was looking for in comfort and looks.
Very prompt delivery put it straight on my bike for a test ride a little adjustment to the height then a quick ride. Even without padded shorts felt great. Had it a few weeks now really comfortable on a 2 hour ride out.
