Light & Motion Vis 360 Spare Front Mount

If you want to share your expensive L & M light with a second helmet, you need more than just this piece to do so. All that is included is the top-of-the-helmet mount for the actual light. You still need another mount so you can attach the battery pack to the back of the helmet. Ok so I see now the product name includes "Spare Front Mount" but why would you sell the pieces separately? So you can charge more money? I also need to buy a "Spare Rear Mount" for another $10!

Exactly the same as the front mount which comes with the light. Very happy with the order.

While this plastic will allow you to share your expensive light with a second helmet the price is too steep, and it came with no instructions to add insult to injury. The light manufacturer, Light & Motion, who reaps the rewards of the initial $100+ purchase should provide several spare mounts considering many bikers have more than one helmet they use, also the shipping took forever for this small item.

The original front mount that came with my Vis 360 was pretty decrepit when I took it off my old helmet to strap it onto my new one, so I was happy to see that I could get a fresh one. The design has changed a bit; this mount is a bit bigger and chunkier than the one that came with my light when I got it 2 years or so ago. This mount lacks the full-coverage rubber pad stuck under the base (which came unstuck on my old one), and instead has a thick knobby insert at the center of the backing to provide grip. My new helmet has a vent in the middle instead of a ridge, so I used the inner plate to provide resistance so I could mount it through the vent instead of around a ridge. All in all, a fine replacement.
