Playing the game Raw
Drako and Diamond are finally being released from prison after serving time for drugs. While incarcerated Toney takes Drako under his wing and teaches him how to play the game "raw". Once Drako walks out of prison he sets his own plans into motion to met his goal of having 10 million in the bank within a year. WIth Diamond by his side there is not much he cannot complete. Diamond is the ultimate "ride or die" chick. Drako's longtime friend Wiz,who started a record label with the money left behind when Drako was picked up by the police, has plans of his own. Excellent story from page one to the heated ending. Even if you aren't a connoisseur of hip hop music, you will love this book.Don't be discouraged because the story starts off in a prison; trust that Mr. Jeffries is laying the foundation for a plot so thick you need a shank to cut it (lol). He definitely developed the characters well, and the attention to detail is superlative.It's not often that I read a book where I just don't like the main character at all, but there is something about Drako that instantly gives one a bad taste in your mouth.I'm hoping that the sequel is coming before the end of the year. This was a great summer read.

Great Read! Amazing Characters! Extraordinary Author! All I have to say is see for yourself, you will fall in love with Diamond and Drako (or should I say the HOV and Bey of hip hop fiction!

This book is full of surprises. The author did not disappoint. The drama thats brewing between Drako and Wiz is very captivating. I can't wait to read part 2.Congrats to Mike Jefferies and Wahida Clark Presents Publishing!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed reading this book A life for a life by Mike Jefferies . It kept me intrigued from the begining to the end. Cant wait for part 2

a very good read
I like the fact that Drakeo didn't forget where he came from. But his friend wiz did, but Drakeo will show him in the end. Very entertaining.
