Reliable Fire Starter for the Backcountry
These igniters are a must-have on the trail. I bought one for my first big backpacking trip in Colorado, and it gave me peace of mind knowing I didn’t have to rely on a finicky lighter. I use it to light my MSR mini stove, and it works perfectly. It’s super lightweight and even fits inside a compact cook setup—no need to carry the bulky case if you’re trying to go ultralight. Just be sure to bring a backup, as always.

Igniter for camping stove
Easy to ignite the burners on my old camping stove. Don't have to worry about the lighter running out of fluid

It works as expected
Works like it should, just wish it was an inch or so longer to stay out of the stove burner (and puff of flame) when lighting. I still buy it again if I needed another one.

Doesn't work with MSR windburner
Item consistently produces a spark, and even occasionally lights up the stove. However result is random and unreliable. I cannot trust it at all. 1 star.

Lightweight, easy, works great with a butane stove
Got this for a lightweight backpacking trip. It doesn't provide much of a spark - you use it by holding it next to the butane stove and turning it on lightly. The piezo ligher sucks in a bit of the butane and uses that to provide the spark that lights the stove. So you have to hold it in close. But it works well, and very simply, without fuss

Lights quick. Reliable
A must for backpacking with a butane stove. I always keep it with my Jetboil after the one time my sparker became non operational, turning my fancy since into a paper weight. I fixed it later with sodder but always good to have one of these in the pack to get you through until you return to civilization. I recommend one per group. Works fine in rainy, wet and windy climate here in Hawaii

Small area to Catch Fuel
The media could not be loaded. The spark is small and quick, I guess it has to catch just the fuel just right to ignite. Works best with the burner set to medium or low intensity, without wind.
