A nice fast listen that I enjoyed
This was a short sweet listen the author gives you a little mystery as well as a cute sweet romance. There is nothing worse than being a small child losing your father and having your mother come up missing. This can destroy a young child not knowing why, when or how she left. The book starts off with Robert losing his mother and the trying time he had. This was a very heartbreaking listen as he tries to make them understand his mother would never have left him with no one listening to his cries it just breaks your heart. He then moves out of state with his aunt who adores him. The book moves on to ten years later when he really gets to know Amelia when he saves her most likely from a rape. We than move ahead another 10 years to him coming back to pride working for Amelia father. This is when the book really takes off the author covers a lot in a short time never leaving anything out or you guessing as to what will happen.Robert life has always been about finding his mother and the answers to her leaving him. Years later as an adult this still haunts him. He has had a very happy loving time with his aunt but she is still not his mother. The book is mostly about hunting down his mother and her than boyfriend. When both Robert and Amelia both come home they start seeing each other. There is a great attraction as it was many years ago the pull is strong as these two become very close and fall in love.Tanya Eby does a great narration of this story. I have always liked her character voices. It is easy to tell if it is male or female. She never leaves you guess as to who is saying what. I did hear more of her accent in this one more than in the others. The audio it’s self is smooth with no background noise. If any editing was done you can’t tell it. Her voice is smooth and clear, she hits the correct tones and gives life to the audio. I am always happy to listen to her audios and look forward to listening to more from her.The author never said who or what broke into Roberts’s home and trashed it. It would have been nice to know. I was glad to see he had closure as he builds a life with Amelia. This was a cute listen you can have finished in not time. Me I got my front yard mowed and had the pleasure of listening to the author and narrators story. I always enjoy Ms. Sanders short stories they are always full of some little mystery as she gives you a heartwarming romance. You can get this book for free if you sign up for her newsletter. I believe this was one of those you can buy the book and get the audio for 1.99 which is the way I went. It is worth your time and a pleasant read. I really enjoy it.

Very enjoyable contemporary short romance with believable & enjoyable characters.
4.5 stars This is an excellent short contemporary romance. The author makes the characters so that you could almost believe they're real. Robert has returned home and suddenly became the town sheriff. He hopes to make it a permanent position. Then Amelia moves back home in order to help her mother. She and Robert reconnect and enjoy one another's company. Robert has part of his past he wants to understand and with Amelia at his side helps. There is a warmth and gentleness to the story very enjoyable. I received a free copy of this book solely in exchange for an honest opinion. I look forward to reading more books by Ms. Sanders in the future especially in th Pride series.

Robert knew that his mother was gone. He couldn't understand where she was. He was sent to stay with his aunt . He live with her till he finished school. Then he went looking for his mother and spent 10 years trying to find her. Then he returned back home and met Amelia who he fell in love with. He was the sheriff of the little town that they lived in. The mystery of his mother's disappearance would come to be known. This is a good book. I was given this book by the author for a fair and honest review.

Review of the novel,"Serving Pride" (Pride Series Romance Novels) by Jill Sanders
This is a story of a young man's survival of thinking his mother had deserted him, when she had actually been abused and murdered by his step father. He searched and investigated, on his own to learn the truth, along the way he becomes a lawman. As Sheriff of Pride, his step father reappears and finally confesses to the crime, body is found and properly buried, allowing the young man to get on with his life. A good read for anyone who enjoys a good mystery.

Pride Series
Jill is a new author for me .... what a wonderful surprise ... I loved the Pride Series and read all the books within one week ... Each book took me further into the lives and town of Pride ..... I feel as if I am part of a new family .... To me, books are a way to "escape" for a little while what is going on around you .... This series goes way beyond that ... thank you Jill !!!!

Not bad
It's been awhile since I started this series but since I'd already read so many I bought it. It's a quick, easy read that is stand alone. I didn't find it to be too steamy as one of the other reviewers suggested. There are loads of summaries so I'll just say that I found that it lacked a bit of punch. There wasn't much drama, the main characters were both likeable and honourable but there was something missing. I will continue to read the series though as I like the way the author writes. I just wish she'd get a decent editor because the errors are irritating.

Another good one for Pride
I enjoyed learning what has happened in Robert and Amelia's lives. The town of Pride is steadfast in its support for its residents and its small town characteristics. Robert had past issues resolved and gained the family he wanted. Good people live in Pride. Nice story.

Wow What a great read
Wow What a great read from Jill. Robert and Amelia's story starts of with missing mother of an 8yr old boy and the hunt to find her but along the way Robert finds his to Pride, Oregon and there he meets his great aunt Daisy who takes him in and then he meets Amelia at school it takes a while to get to because he was only 8 at the time but after graduation when he saves her from bullies and ten years after that they finally have a chance to be together it’s not smooth there’s a few bumps and tragedies along the way

Book 0.5 in the Pride series
Book 0.5 in the Pride series takes us back in time to around about Iian Jordan's 18th birthdayRobert Brogan started out living in Pride with his aunt, he was a good kid who wanted some answers to his past, so after graduating went off travelling to do some investigating of his own. When he eventually returned to Pride 10 years later Sherrif Blake is very proud to take him on as a new local cop. This story focuses on Robert, but you get a bit more information about what happened to the Jordan family with Iian's accident. A few of the regular characters pop up which is nice. This book is a short story which, like the others could be read as a stand alone.

a pleasant romance
Bought dec 2013, just read now. A novella and prequel to Pride series. Dont know why took me so long to read this series on my tablet. Very enjoyable romance with a touch of suspense. Have read after finding pride but it doesnt really matter as mainly about 2 other people of Pride with just a touch of back history of some others. Number typos and missing words in spite of the editor getting mentioned.

short story, but a real page turnner
This book was shorter than I had hoped. It had all the ingredients for a typical romantic story. Easy to read, but hard to put down, read it in a few hours. My only criticism was that it was 'too nice', a few more twists and turns and heart stopping will they/won't they moments before the ending would've been better, but all the same I did enjoy it.
