Survive and Thrive: A Life Science Unit for High-Ability Learners in Grades K-1 (William & Mary Units)

As a gifted child's parent hoping to use this at home, I found too much of this was meant to help you fill out teacher paperwork. Then when I got to the lessons they just lacked the brilliance gifted kids need to get them going. I only used one or two lessons because it was just so boring. Instead, try science books written by Ellen J. McHenry. They are not labeled as being for gifted kids but they really fit the bill. I used The Elements and was bowled over by the way it engaged and generated curiosity. That was the kind of experience I hoped for from this curriculum.
