I Wish I Was the Baby Hardcover – January 1, 1995

This was a great book for my long grandson.

A long-time favorite in our family, and my tried-and-true second-child-shower present. My kids have all loved it and read it over and over and over.

My son (3 years old) adores this book. It is pretty cute. He has a baby sister, so it is perfect (the older child in the story is a boy, with a baby sister). I'm not sure how much he understands them switching rolls, but he asks to have it read quite often in a LARGE rotation of books.

My mom gave my first-born this book before I had my second baby. I was nervous about the title, since you dread having your child show signs of regression when a new baby enters your family. However, this book is wonderful!! It does a great job pointing out how unhappy a child would be if they truly did become the baby again, and how great all the things are that an older child can do. My son loved it - and the way the text rhymes is a hit.
