Our family always ate these herring tidbits at Christmas and they are hard to get. We have them on a cracker with a slice of hard boiled egg. Glad I ordered them.

Delicious, a little bit sweet, spicy taste. I am a retuning customer. Ordering a lot of stuff from Amazon, I was very pleasantly surprised with packaging of this product for shipping, excellent. Plus, they added 20%off discount code for next order, it is great. Highly recommended, very tasty herring.

This is an essential for Scandinavian Christmas cooking. It's difficult to find. It's a little pricey, but considering it ships free, it's a good price:)

Perhaps a little bit too sweet, but spiced perfectly, and the texture was excellent! We usually eat the herring on a neutral-flavored cracker that’s been “shmeared” with some cream cheese. Then, I smash the herring with a fork, and spread it over the entire surface of the cracker, to get a taste of it with every bite! Delicious!!!

My order (three cans of Matjes herring) arrived two days before predicted. The cans were left in the bubble wrap and refrigerated immediately as instructed. Stayed in the fridge 3 days before opening. When opened (for my wife's birthday) flavor was as expected but the herring bits were no longer firm, as they were when I'd bought the same product in a store. (store had been out of stock for at least a month). Won't buy on line again.
