Seems to be working!
My pond is full of newts and snail's but fot some reason this year has gone horrendously thick, sludgy and green and obviously now with the sun full of blanket weed. I started in April with this treatment and have re-ordered to continue it as the water is definitely clearer and the blanket weed massively reduced so I can actually see the wildlife.

MMM, not sure this really works.
Did a big manual clear of winter leaves and half water change of my pond. Used the sachets as instructed, not really clear water, gone a bit green and getting string algae. Have plenty of plants and barley straw bale in my 8ft x 4ft pond.Suppose it could be worse without treatment...not sure. Wild life happy to take up residence. Lots of newts, dragon fly larvae etc. Not sure these are worth having. My solar pump and box filter is better at removing algae along with a sludge net.

Absolutely does the job
Despite my very good water quality I still struggle with green string algea . Out of all the products I buy for my pond for various things these are without doubt the best . 2 weeks after use my pond is algea free , water is still very good but there's an unexpected bonus , all of my plants are thriving , even the weighted bunch of ranunculus is beginning to flower and I wasn't expecting that .They dissolve quickly too so no scum floating on the water.I've used these before in year 1 when I was a complete novice and didn't get the same result . 4 years on I realise it was because I didn't put enough in for the volume of water. Very convenient, a bit more pricey than a tub of powder but in my opinion worth every penny !

Worked really well, but then it didn’t
First time I used it, it worked really well and killed off the blanket weed. Subsequent treatments just seem to slow the growth but the blanket weed is winning the fight.

Love it love it love it.
I use this in my 3 ponds and my ponds are clear I have no pump or filter these are just natural wildlife ponds. I still have frogs tadpoles newts & toads in abundance and my plants are all healthy, so nothing bad has happened. I would say the only negative is that the blanket weed keeps appearing due to the level of sunlight , but blanket weed does have some purpose after all.
