Great brush, shaving snobs this review IS NOT for you (but you should buy the brush)!
Although there are many who choose to claim to be experts in their reviews I simply relate my experience as a normal consumer, not dissecting every detail (to make myself sound more intelligent). That being said, let's get on to the actual review! This is a great shaving brush... The packaging is sufficient to protect the brush. That's all you need right? The brush itself is exceptionally smooth, creates excellent lather, rinses cleanly after use and frankly is the best brush I've tried! That being said I've never spent $50 or $100 or $200 on a shaving brush before, I can think of better things to do with my money :)If you actually want to know if this is a solid product the answer is yes... Buy it. I actually have bought a 2nd as eventually every brush will wear out and I want to make sure I've got a backup of this exact brush for when that day comes... If you are looking for quality and functionality, a great badger brush you will enjoy each morning then this is your brush. If you're looking for a shaving brush you can set next to your BMW keys when the girl you picked up last night in the bar last night is watching you shave the next morning? Well she wouldn't know how much a brush is anyway unless you told her (just like you told her how much your BMW costs too right)?Great brush, you will not be disappointed... Shaving snobs, you can still go buy a $100 brush to leave on the sink but you might actually want to use this one when you're shaving :)

Gets the job done.
Good brush that’s affordable, haven’t lost many bristles after some good use. Not the best brush you’ll ever use, but why spend lots on something when something like this gets the job done well.

very good shave, soft but not too bristly, attractive wooden handle; badger hair came out in 16 mos
I originally wrote a review focusing on how this brush didn't last long:I had my last badger hair shaving brush for forty years -- 1979-2019. I thought to myself it was getting a little stiff, get a new one.But after a year the badger hair component started swiveling around within the handle. And after 16 months, it popped out from the handle altogether.16 months of use is not enough!Update: Since I wrote that review, I have tried 4 more brushes. One had a bad smell and the bristles were too bristly. A couple created a thin, watery lather. In short, this brush produces thick luxurious foam. It is neither too bristly nor too soft -- it's soft enough. It produces the best shave of the five. I also like the look of the brush: It has no logos on the wooden handle. The badger hair popped out after 16 months of use, but the brush is still usable -- you can pop it back in. This brush is not as good as the Casswell Massey brush I got about 1979 and lasted until 2019. But it's the best I've found since -- even if I need to either keep buying new ones or use it in a makeshift way

questionable quality
Maybe it's my bad, but I leave my shaving stuff in the shower always. After about four months, the entire bristle brush fell out of the handle. Instead of going to buy a new brush, I just hot glued the bristle back into the handle. It has held up really well since then. I use it with various different shaving foams, soaps, lotions, and it has handled all of them with no issues.I really like how the bristles remain soft after drying out, too. I've had this brush a long time and when it's dry, it still feels soft like it did when brand new.It works great for me--and I shave my face and my whole head with various different products--this brush has been the best I've used. Not entirely sure what adhesive they used in the construction, but after I glued the bristles back in, it's not had any other problems.

DONT GET IN A LATHER ABOUT A HIGH PRICE
SEEMS TO BE DECENTLY MADE, A GOOD FAIR PRICE, AND HOLDS THE SOAP FOR A SHAVE JUST FINE.

Cheap Brush, good for travel or just a “whatever” brush.
The brush is good, cheap and does the job. But as you use it, the hairs start to fall out and the handle is expanding due to water moisture. I have NEVER USED HOT WATER OR SOAKED IT COMPLETELY SUBMERGED in water with these type of brushes.Again, decent brush to start with. I don’t see it lasting much longer after ~5 months of use.

Just what I needed
Almost fun to use. I have used plain soap all my 50 plus years of shaving. But with my old skin. I was having problems. So, I tried the shaving creme route. LOL. I look forward to shaving every morning now. And this is a great little brush to use or just learn on. Very, very happy.
