its not fantastic good but its good for how I use it. If I was using a long boom arm I may want a bit better but this does the job and it has a heavy metal base and is white! I needed, white! These stands in general are at a entry price point and i'm happy with it and would buy again! It is a very good value for a mic stand in a fixed location as I may not want to tour with a entry level mic stand but if you need a white stand that will be in a Church or something this works perfect for me! The packaging was in bad shape when it arrived as it was NOT double boxed and had holes in the box but nothing was missing. I guess that heavy metal base is hard on a box but all was okay! If you need a white stand to blend in with a white room at a good price, this is a good option!

I've been using On-Stage brand for ages and they generally perform and offer great value and longevity. This stand follows suit. It's stable, adjusts and holds well. The base is solid and the overall build of the stand is great quality. These are my first chrome stands from On-Stage and the finish is very well done. I purchased 2 and they are both of equal quality and build. They are stable enough while using a boom that you can extend out quite far with lighter mics. Using a boom with a true counter weight, these are very solid while booming heavier mics. The one small drawback for me is the barcode stickers. I used Goof Off which made the removal manageable. What's ironic is that the brand logo stickers peel right off easily without a mess. Just my nitpick. I highly recommend these stands and given my experience with this brand, they should last a long time. On-Stage gear as a whole is great. Major value.

Excellent quality and very versatile mic stand. I attached a tablet holder and drink holder and the combination is perfect for jam sessions to keep my things in a compact space. The height of the stand is easily adjustable as are the heights of the tablet and drink holder. The stand has a firm base and feels very stable, yet is easy to move around if needed. I’m very happy with this purchase.

I've purchased two of these mic stands now because they work great and look attractive. As a singer, I hate those tripod stands where you trip over the bottom legs. I love the round base on the bottom of this one. It weighs the stand down perfectly. It does NOT feel cheap and is very sturdy for me to lean on it, rock it back and forth, or just let it sit straight. As for the other people that broke theirs and then gave it a negative review........what the hell are they doing to their equipment?? Anything will break if you abuse the heck out of it. This stand is sturdy and will stand up to normal band/singer use. I recommend lowering the top inside pole into the bottom pole after each gig before transporting it. It does not come with a mic clip which was fine with me as I use a wireless and that takes a fatter clip.

I bought this microphone stand to use with a chrome-look microphone. When put together it looked like a true retro mic from the 50s. (The microphone is actully encased in chrome-look plastic.) It was easy to assemble and supported the microphone. Base is very sold, so it does not fall over. The grips on the slider stay in place, it is easy to adjust up or down, and stays put once in place. I'm sure we will use it for many, many live performances for years to come.
