I bought this for a friend, who is always searching for fun advent calendars. I KNOW she will be pleased with this one. It is so beautiful, with small German looking figurines and decorations. It is very fine and fragile in design with some adorable detailing. The boxes are small, yes, but easily fit some Italian Christmas pins and sugar candy. The boxes measure 1 1/2" by 1 1/2" and are 1 inch deep. There is some weight to it, so won't easily be knocked over. I love that it lights up as well with 2 AA batteries (which do not come with purchase). Could easily become an heirloom piece with extra loving care. Only one drawer was damaged in packaging on arrival, which was easily repaired with Elmer's glue. I'm very happy with the purchase.

This is a really cute Advent Calendar! I didn’t realize that both floors lit up which was a nice surprise. This piece definitely is not for a child that’s for sure, it’s very delicate. The little drawers actually are pretty big, bigger then I thought they would be. The drawers have little stoppers on the back on them to keep them from coming out of their slots. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because they paint the roof orange and it doesn’t make any sense especially when everything else is wood. They should have either left it or painted it a different color to match.

I just received this piece just in time for the holidays. This is our first advent house & I can't wait to add this as a tradition with my kids. I was at first dismayed because the huge box was visibly damaged. Once I opened it, the smaller box was in tact & the house was fine.Pros:1. Nice quality piece made of wood. Maybe a birch or balsam wood.2. The figures are glued to the piece so no fear of loosing them.Cons:1. The drawers seem a bit small. Looks like I can fit a dollar bill or a small piece of candy in.Overall, it is a really nice piece. I hope the photos do the piece justice. (Pay no attention to the bits of styrofoam that I need to pick off.)

I have searched for an advent calendar for my son since his birth six years ago. I had not been able to find one until this year with this one! We got it and it was in great shape, the roof is orange but it still looks nice. The craftsmanship is nice as well. The drawers are a decent size but wish there were bigger. You can fit mini size candies or kisses, money, or scripture in them which fits our needs.The wood does seem fragile so I have to remind my six year old to be careful which he has so far. Overall I am very pleased with this product and hope to pass this along to my son when he has children some day.

...and what I got instead was the greatest Advent calendar ever made. I even let out an audible, "Awwwww," when I opened the box. It's a great size and the details are fantastic. Sure, the drawers are a bit small, but if you use your imagination a bit, you can come up with all sorts of great things to stock it with -- bite size candy bars, little ornaments, notes for a scavenger hunt, etc.To sum up: It's beautiful. I love it. It's my very own Christmas miracle.

A cute concept, and it looks really pretty with the light on. The drawers are big enough for candy such as a Hershey Kiss or mini Reese's Cup, or a small toy from the gumball machine, or even an engagement ring for someone planning a holiday proposal. It's definitely an attractive piece, but the downside is that it's also pretty flimsy for the price. For $75, I expect a little better quality. The fronts of two of the drawers detached, and I had to fish the drawers out of the inside of the unit with some needle nose pliers. Now the fronts will need to be glued back on. Some of the other drawer fronts are looking a little shaky as well and will likely need to be reinforced with some glue. I've seen others mention this problem in their reviews, so it wasn't just my order. Repairing and reinforcing it won't take long, but that's really not the point. For the price, it should be in excellent condition. I wanted to love this, I really did, but right now I'm kinda meh. I may send it back - I haven't decided yet.

This is absolutely beautiful. The detail is very well done, yet simple and clean. The lights are bright but not overdone. The pull out boxes are perfect for small trinkets or notes. It seems very sturdy but light. I will certainly keep the original packaging it came in for storage - it was packaged well. Simply said it is lovely and well worth the purchase price. Also, Universal Direct Brands worked with me on a matter of shipping at a certain time, they were exceptionally accommodating and very customer service oriented. I'll be sure to look for more of their products.

Great little Christmas decoration piece for the home and the kids to enjoy! Works perfect. My only negative point to it is that it's only battery-powered for the lights which is fine when you've got a couple of double AA's but it would've been nice to have that option to just plug it into an outlet which it doesn't have.One thing I forgot to mention is the fantastic customer service. When we received it, one of the drawers was missing a knob. I called up the company's phone number, got a live representative in seconds who advised she would ship a new drawer w/knob at no extra cost. It showed up in 4-5 days. Customer service second to none.

The product looks nice but the drawers are not manufactured well. One drawer broke when I pulled it out. I contacted the seller 2x to see if I could get replacement drawer however I did not receive a response. Be careful as it cannot be returned, nor will the seller offer a solution to fix it if it is damaged. I am very disappointed, as this is an expensive gift that I was looking forward to giving to my great-niece this December. 0 stars for the seller.
