Telescope 30 A230 Connection Flange for HEQ5 with Tripod EQ6

Nicely machined, it works perfectly on my EQ6 tripod. It can be made to work with an iOptron tri-pier as well if you are savvy with a drill and a M10 tap. This is made for use with a Skywatcher EQ6 tripod, without it the HEQ5 mount that I had would not work. I bought this to give my much more robust iOptron tri-pier the ability to take my smaller HEQ5 mount using the EQ6 adaptor plate. Unfortunately the EQ6 adaptor plate is just slightly smaller (2mm) than the lip on the Geoptik tripod adaptor. Using a rotary tool with a sanding cylinder I was able to remove the excess and make this work. I also had to drill and tap an M10 hole to in the adaptor plate to lock it into place.
