It works! Read the product description..
I’ve been excited for this product to arrive ever since the Xbox One controller was released. The Xbox One controller feels much better than the 360 ergonomically, and I wanted to make the switch over when playing games such as Rocket League. In the meantime, I’ve sufficed by plugging in via USB cable, but if I stream from my TV, it’s much more difficult. The USB dongle is big, I’m not gonna lie. The nice thing is that it is slim, so you won’t have issues plugging in other USB devices next to it if they’re in vertical parallel but it’s definitely long, and a little wide. Looks like an older USB wifi dongle. I had to remove my Logitech dongle to fit it into my laptop, where they are all horizontal in series. Note, there is a USB extender cable included in the box that you can use to prevent this issue. I would actually recommend using it, to prevent any potential interference from being plugged in close proximity to other devices. On my desktop, I was connected via USB 2.0, on my laptop I was connected via USB 3.0. I noticed no difference in performance, the dongle worked on both ports. After plugging the unit into my computer, the drivers installed automatically. I restarted for good measure, then pressed the sync buttons on my controller and the dongle simultaneously. White light flashes while searching, then goes solid after paired. Same went with my controller. You can do this to connect multiple devices. It does NOT disconnect currently connected devices, they remain paired. I tested using Rocket League (pretty much the only game I’m going to be using right now), the device worked flawlessly without any issues for me. Moving to my laptop connected to my tv downstairs, I comfortably played again at a distance of ~15 feet from the dongle with no issues, either. Again, the laptop is running Windows 10. The controller will automatically sleep after inactivity, just like a 360 controller. Merely press it and it’ll wake up and automatically connect to the dongle again, no problem. My computer makes a connection sound when it detects it’s woken up. Pressing on the home key with Steam running launches Big Picture mode. I have literally only owned this product for less than an hour, but so far everything is working swimmingly. • I am using Windows 10, as it is a stated requirement for the dongle to work. So if you are using 7 or 8, be prepared for incompatibilities. I tested on my friend’s desktop running Windows 7, and the drivers would not install. • I used an Xbox One controller (Titanfall edition) – I did try my 360 controller but it did not work, as was expected. • Everything worked out of the box for me. After the driver installed, I did restart my computer before trying to use the controller. • Controller works fine at least 15 feet away from the dongle. I did not try further yet. • The dongle was not loose in the USB port, as another user commented. It does ‘shift’ slightly, but there’s no worry of it falling out or losing connection randomly. I will later test to see if this is compatible with my Steamlink, and update accordingly. I see lots of people disgruntled that it's only compatible with Windows 10, and that it's a surprise. Read the product description. It says it's only for Xbox One controllers and Windows 10. Seriously people, read!

Great on steam deck, not natively.
Works great on my steam deck, not natively as there is a work around. It eliminated the constant disconnects and lag providing a better alternative than Bluetooth.

Getting this Wireless Adapter for XBOX One controller made my Gaming on Windows 10 "10 times better" LIVE UNBOXING REVIEW VIDEO
Getting this Wireless Adapter for XBOX One controller made my Gaming on Windows 10 "10 times better". I also have a live unboxing Review of the XBOX ONE Wireless adapter on my PC/TECH YouTube Channel LUE GAMING TECH. Connection and Hook up: Being that the XBOX One controller is the 2015 model (NO Bluetooth) , if you want to play with this controller with your pc wirelessly, you will need to purchase this XBOX wireless dongle that will fit into your USB port on your computer. This connection is fairly simple with windows 10 as it is just a Plug N Play type of installation. You are however able to connect this controller to your pc through the USB to USB mini wire that comes inside of the box. The setup for this was really easy to do. Windows found the adapter and the controller with out any problems on the first set up. I did find that after a couple days of use, when I turn on my PC the controller would have lost its sync to the adapter. I had to unplug and replug the adapter back into my Gaming PC. Windows has since than updated this problem. You are able to connect up to 8 controllers to this adapter, and it really makes Gaming on my PC like playing on a console with PC graphics. This also works well with other programs connected to windows 10 through the XBOX One controller. Controller Compatibility and Use: I have had this controller for over a year now, and I have review my unboxing of this controller on my PC/TECH Review Channel [...] I have played mostly every AAA titles from 2015 (with some older titles as well), and this controller has been seamless with using this as my main driver for gaming on a PC. Games like Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, Battlefield 4 &1, The Division, Just Caused 3, Star Wars Battlefront 2015, Over Watch, Project Cars, and many other AAA titles have shown no issues with compatibility. I have even found that some games in the windows store, created for the window phone, can be played with this controller as well. Steam, Origin, and Uplay have all updated their systems so you know which games are compatible and which games are not, but most of the games that I have seen are compatible with this controller. The UI on these system can also now be controlled with the controller, so it gives you the comfort of sitting back and picking your games with out getting close to your keyboard and mouse. Steam's big picture Mode is great for this. Overall Review: Since my purchase of this wireless adapter, using my XBOX ONE controller has been my main driver for PC gaming. I have no concern if the games that are coming out in the future would be compatible for the pc games, because most of the games coming out are cross platform games; especially with Xbox and Windows 10. This is a great way to get the best of both worlds when gaming on a PC. Play Station Now Gaming Streaming Service and XMBC is also great for picking this up a distant remote. I would encourage you to pick this up. Check out my video unboxing to get a physical representation of my review

The XBOX wireless adapter for Windows is the logical solution for those who want to use more comfortably the excellent XBOX One and/or XBOX One Elite controller for gaming. In my humble opinion, it deserves a five-star rating because ELIMINATES the annoyance of having a wired controller, at least when you are not charging the batteries. It’s simple, discrete, even elegant, and lightweight, in comparison with the wireless adapter of the XBOX 360 controller, which was bulkier and with an odd round shape, harder to accommodate somewhere in your computer case or surroundings. Besides, the extension cable is detachable, what is very convenient when you have almost or no room for this port in the front or back of the motherboard of your computer, in contrast with the 360 controller wireless adapter, in which the extension cable was included and permanently attached, and if the cord was not necessary, you must fold the excedent cable, in order to avoid the mess in front or back of your computer. The only complaint about this adapter is that takes more time to pair a device, and you must press the pairing buttons sequentially, in order to have a one-step device pairing. First the adapter, then the controller. I have another complaint, but I think is related more to Windows, rather than the device itself. Is the inability to recognize the paired controller in the XBOX Devices subprogram in Windows. You have to try several times for the proper recognition. Nevertheless, even if the subprogram cannot recognize the controller, you can use the controller as well. I recommend this device to anyone who wants to use the XBX One controller without more cables on the computer. It works well and serves the purpose… you won’t regret it.

Looks like the original product, maybe it is a very good copy, maybe it is a genuine one, I cannot understand. The label underneath hides the original barcodes, serial number and information, that date of manufacturing is "1016", which could mean October 2016. Windows recognized this dongle without a problem. Xbox controller was successfully connected via dongle,
