Defective replacement part- unfortunately.
This is the first part that I replaced for Ford ranger 1996 4 L ohv P0402 excessive EGR flow. This causes rough idle. So the part was replaced. So was the DPFE. EGR valve itself appear to work as with disconnecting it from vacuum at idle the truck idle would smooth out. I couldn’t understand why this did not correct the situation. Finally brought it into the dealership and they basically told me to replace this part over again. I paid $50 for the Ford genuine part identical to this one. Same part number. I was surprised that this worked perfectly.So this part was defective. So I guess just a warning this may happen to you.

No good, you don't always get what you pay for.
Very easy to install, but it is defective or something, my truck would hardly run with it, I had to put the old one back on to get it to run.

changed the old part for this one and after a few days it went bad. after market part got a new Ford part car works again would not recomend

WFLNHB F57Z9J459C F63Z9J459AA EGR Vacuum Solenoid Valve
Installed on my F150 and caused check engine light. Ohms on primary winding is open. Too late to return. Always check resistance before installing, should read .5 to .9 ohms.
