The ONLY box dye brand I trust and absolutely adore! I don’t write reviews but truly felt to write it for the girlies with the stubborn grey’s! This color is absolutely gorgeous, easy to apply, covers grey’s and does not wash out, leaves hair so shiny and healthy! over the course of maybe 6 months or longer, the color slightly looks lighter (on the grey parts that have grown out) and it gives the most beautiful dimension just as natural hair color does. For application, just follow the directions and be patient. Use Vaseline around temple to protect color bleeding. I was on vacation in a different state and suddenly realized that my roots were already gray only three weeks after coloring my hair. Horror! I've been buying Clairol Nice & Easy A4 forever, and although it was a bit too brassy red for me, it was the closest I could come to the subtle cinnamon brown color I was looking for so I stayed with it for 10 years...until vacation.I decided I had to color my hair that night at the beach house we were renting before visiting family the next day. After two stopping at two different stores and unable to find a color even close, it was getting late and hubby was getting impatient. The choices for dark red were non-existent. Everything was either bright red, orange, or an unnatural RED. I spotted Schwarzkopf Keratin Color in Berry Brown 5.3 but was afraid of the name. I was worried "berry" would have a dark pink or purple tint but the color on the box was a rich medium/dark brown and I decided brown was better than gray roots so I grabbed it. I absolutely love GOT2B products, also made by Schwarzkopf, and it was just $3 more than Nice and Easy so I trusted the name and bought it. I'm so glad I did!The smell is incredible. It also comes with gloves, conditioner, and a serum to put on your ends before coloring so you don't get those dark, inky ends and it worked beautifully. The color is gorgeous! It's a rich brown with dark red highlights that keeps it from being boring but aren't glaring red. They glimmer in the light. It's a subtle auburn. My husband loved it and I'm now a die-hard fan. It's the color I've been looking for for a long time.I leave it for 20 minutes instead of 25 to keep it from getting too dark but it still covers those pesky gray roots. The color doesn't fade like Clairol does either and stays vibrant for months. I only have to retouch my roots each month instead of recoloring my entire hair without losing the vibrancy in the rest of my hair. My hair is very shiny and it feels thick, full, and very soft. It's not dry and coarse feeling like Nice and Easy. I'm very fair and the color doesn't wash me out. Fast, reliable shipping with subscription. If you’re looking for a cheap way to change your hair at home, this is the way to go. It did not damage my hair (my hair has been lightened and damaged). I loved the color outcome and it was easy to apply. This is my second time purchasing and using this kit, and I’ve had amazing results both times. I had been using hair color products from Sally’s for 10+ years, but when I came across this kit, by this brand, I thought I would give it a try. Right out of the box I was really impressed that everything you need to do the color is included in the box. There is a pre-treatment for damaged ends, and a post color bonding treatment/conditioner, which both work great, and there is enough for several applications between colors. The kit conveniently comes with the pre-measured developer already in an applicator bottle. You just put the color into the bottle and shake. It even comes with gloves. It’s super easy and the color comes out great. No more need for color bowls, brushes, measuring cup, bottles of developer, etc. that take up a bunch of space.

This is one of the best hair colors, if not the best, on the market. The color is consistent. It covers Gray really well, and evenly. It's got highlights the others didn't really have, and it doesn't destroy my hair. My hair is healthy and shiny. I do use the hair conditioner in the tube, c and I put another healthy conditioner in with that, immediately after the dying, and every time I wash. Fading happens, but takes months. And usually you would have recovered your hair by then or touched up, anyway. Fading is worse with the reds, and not as much with this color. And that's all hair dyes. Love this stuff. And I get by when I'm not trying to dye, by using the spray root touch up. Just a suggestion.

I was a L'Oréal girl until L'Oréal stopped making permanent hair colour. They call it permanent, but it washes out. It didn't used to do that. Black never washed out - ever. They also stopped putting expiration dates in the boxes. I started using this. It washes out, but it takes a lot longer, so my colour stays fresher longer. If you're like me and don't trust no one with your hairs this is the best brand to do your own. I've been using it a few years now. Nice colour and better staying power. It's not harsh on the scalp or hair.

I have a lot of white hair. Maybe I should get a dark color. After put the product on for 45 minutes, it doesn’t work very well for my white hair. But it does work well for my black hair. Next time I will choose a darker color.
