Sacred Water for The Thirsty Woman's Soul.
I would first like to give honor and praises to the author Chief Iyanifa Iyalode Fagbemilike Fatunmise, for writing this book and sharing the critical information, which is sorely needed. This book was like water to my soul, I could not put it down and read it from cover to cover, it gave me chills up and down my spine and as I invoked the sacred praise names of Ancestral Mothers Iyami Osoronga on page 28, I felt my crown and root chakra opening, I type this review with a white cloth covering my head. This is how powerful these names are, I cried and rejoiced receiving this blessing in this book. I am going to require this a must read in my coven. My daughters as well as my son's one who is an Oso for sure will be required to read this book as well. will recommend this to every woman I know and am in contact with. I wish every woman on this planet had a copy of this book. This is personal for me because the birds started coming to me at a young age, as I got into my thirties, I would dream of the huge vultures that came to protect me from harm. Auset would visit me in dreams as a vulture, teaching me how to fly in my dreams, once I wore white and flew but had difficulty, then dreamt another night I wore all black and flew with ease. I honestly was not expecting any real information as I know this is a secret society. But was surprised at the information contained within and am forever grateful for the prayers to the Mothers. I felt Chief Iyanifa Iyalode love in writing this book for us women, it is so desperately needed at this time. I cannot sing the author's praises enough. May the Iyami Osoronga forever bless, guide and protect her and her entire lineage as long as they walk this earth plane Ase Ase Ase!!

excellent
I know “The Mothers” couldn’t be more proud, as the author teaches us to learn, acknowledge and revere them, in a way that has been lost. Fortunately for us they have given the knowledge and with great wisdom the author has presented us with this gift. Thank you, Iyami Osoranga, Great Mother!!

Great read, very informative
I liked the book because it talks about the association with the birds, it also includes information on how to get in touch with the author and how to receive Introduction if you’ve been called. Thank you for this, I would love a part 2 that explains even more but I understand secrets have to be kept.

Decent Introduction to Woman's Mysteries from the Beginning of Woman's Existence
I met Chief Iyalode Fatunmise one year before she passed away. I remember the dream I had that foretold of her passing. I found her because of my experiences with the Iyami in my dreams since I was a child. Many babalawos would tell me to turn away from the Iyami, not to create a shrine for them, only appease them from time to time. When I found Chief Iyalode, it felt like a huge weight was lifted from my chest. I could breathe easier. I remember being at her temple a few times and having had intense experiences with the Iyami at her temple, hoping that Chief Iyalode would be the one to initiate me according to the wishes of the Iyami. But that was not the case. Being at her temple is what helped me to learn more about them and the pathway I needed to walk. That being said, no one in their right mind would openly talk about the NUANCES of the mysteries of the Iyami. If the Iyami gives one of their own the blessings (ashe) to talk about aspects of their Iyami lineage, then they shall do so. Chief Iyalode wrote what she was told to write. This book is also coming from within the Yoruba tradition of Ifa. There is so much out there about the iyami in the world (and in the tradition still!) that has been demonized by colonialism that people still in the tradition use colonial terms to define ancient concepts.I appreciate her book for why it was written. Please understand that each woman who writes about the Iyami is writing about the lineage she was brought into. The Iyami are not homogenous. They are diverse and varied. At this point, I am rambling. It is a good introduction from someone within the Yrouba tradition. I recommend Teresa Washington's text "Architects of Existence" as an excellent companion and ongoing learning.Satnam!

Fascinating! Worth reading over and over!
I purchased the book digitally because I simply could not wait to have it arrive.I found the book to be thought provoking and spiritually a lesson from beyond the scope and measure of what I had experienced before. When you get the call to answer to the Great Mothers, you don't walk, you run and every moment since that encounter I have been given more and more information. Some say they should never be approached, some say initiations must be had. But what about those women who are called across oceans of time and space, through generations to speak into the ear of those who will listen. Those Great Mothers respond in such a way that you cannot imagine. This book was the doorway, the gate to a deeper understanding of what I will not look away from. I pray for your blessings Chief Fagbemileke Fatunmise, I thank you for bringing this into the hands of those who are ready, into the hands of those who need it.

Role of Iyami
I’m very confused. It’s a informative book. I think I need to have a conversation with the author about the different roles the Iyami play. Some sound good and some sound unpleasant to say the least. Lol
