Works as it should
Put on 2010 Ford Expedition, works as it should. Make sure you drain the shipping oil and put in the proper PAG oil, and the proper amount of AC R134 33oz in my case. Watch YouTube if you never done it. Have some long extentions, it's easier to do it from a lift, the crank trigger sensor is a bit of a PITA because it butts up against the compressor, be patient and don't break that piece, it will come, I actually was able to drop the compressor first, and then was able to get my hand in and around to get it unplugged. Good luck!!

Returned and ordered replacement
Was not able to install unit because x2 mounting pads/ feet had some dents and were deformed (see pictures). Not sure if packing material did not secure the unit properly or if this was used and mistakenly shipped as new. Ordered a replacement unit and that one arrived in good condition. Will update review after unit is installed to ensure it fits/works ok and quality is good.Replacement part received, and Works as required, changing review to five stars

Don’t buy
They don’t make them like they use to really! I’ve put a lot of UAC ac compressors on cars and even my own truck but i noticed most parts stores stop selling them I bought the same ac compressor for my truck 3 years ago and my wife’s navigators ac clutch failed so I thought I’d replace the hole thing with it being 16 years I replaced both expansion valves condenser and compressor I flushed the ac lines out and added 14 ounces of Pag oil and drained the oil out of the new compressor still failed after about 76 miles now I have to replace everything again because it sent metal all through the system

2007 F150 4.6 l fits
Well this is my second one and I will say the first one came with a damaged box and all the oil in it spilled out everywhere. Maybe it happened during transport maybe not. But a replacement was sent to me quickly. This was a direct Bolt on and fit perfectly. It spins freely and is very quiet. I got it on at the end of the summer season so I've only been able to actually activate the AC twice but it has worked great.* Don't forget the gaskets you need to seal the lines and remember each other the lines is a different size they don't make that obvious when you're ordering.

Change the oil!
Installed in my Expedition and it works great. Saw many reviews of this compressor only lasting a few months to a year. It came with about 4oz of "shipping oil". I drained that and added 7oz of PAG 46 directly into the suction side of the compressor. From the description:"compressor may come charged with shipping oil to keep the part lubricated during transit - drain and replace according to your system's requirements"Hopefully mine lasts, but wonder if those who didn't change this oil and fill to the correct amount are seeing early failures.

Remove all oil from this unit Fill it with 8 oz of PAG 46 and added some UV die Installed this unit with new O-rings and hand cr
I got this item in 2 days and was a little surprised to see how small it was for a full size SUV, but it is the same size as the original. I got it installed in my 2007 Ford Expedition, ran the vacuum for an hour, and charged it up to 2.5 lbs of refrigerant, this baby has been pumping out cold air since. For $160, it is hard to beat. The only complaint I have about this item is that it did not come with new O-rings.Below are the steps I took:Remove all oil from this unitFill it with 8 oz of PAG 46 and added some UV dieInstalled this unit with new O-rings and hand crank to circulate oil before installing the beltvacuumed it down for an hourHalf-charged the unitRan AC units for about 1 minute then fully charged itSo far so good, but if there is any issue, I will update this review.I hope this helps.9/3/16It's been about 6 months since I installed this compressor in my vehicle and it is still running strong. If and when it dies, I will give an update for those who are thinking about buying this.
