Tiny cutters that are stupid-precise (but not for brute force)
I’ve been using the KNIPEX Electronics Super Knips mostly for trimming zip ties, little plastic bits, and fine wires around my desk/setup, and they’re kind of ridiculous in how clean they cut. The blades line up perfectly and give a true flush cut—zip ties disappear instead of leaving that sharp little fang that slices your hand open later. They also slip into tight spots easily; the head is small and the tips are super precise, so it’s easy to get right up against a surface. The handles are way more comfortable than they look. The spring action is light, so you can sit there doing a ton of tiny cuts without your hand getting tired. They feel solid and “premium” in that Knipex way—no slop in the pivot, no flex in the jaws. Couple of caveats: these are delicate precision cutters, not general-purpose wire cutters. They’re perfect for small copper leads, zip ties, and plastic, but I wouldn’t use them on steel wire, thick cable, or anything you’d normally reach for a bigger pair of cutters for—you’ll ding the cutting edge and hate yourself. There’s also no lock to keep them closed in a drawer, so they just kind of sit open unless you store them carefully. If you need a precision cutter for electronics work, cable management, or cleaning up small plastic parts, these are absolutely worth the money. Just treat them like a scalpel, not a bolt cutter.

High quality performance at a good price
You get a lot of precision for the price. I'm able to get a very close and clean cut to the solder board.

You feel the quality immediately.
This is a side cutter that is much more solid than the cheaper ones. I did buy a set of six side cutter and this one to basically do a comparison. This one has a much better cut, even all the way in on the tool. The cheaper ones do work fine too but the feel of this one gives you an idea of a higher quality tool. If you are in the business of buying a side cutter, go for this before the cheaper ones.

Quality Product
Great quality. My favorite cutters from trimming component legs on PCB.

Great for flush cuts.
Quality build and great for flush cuts. Use on wax string, lacing string and zip ties with no problem. Maintains sharpness.

Great cutter at reasonable price
Not the cheapest, but quality is first rate. The action is smooth, spring return works well. They are not for cutting big stuff or steel wire, etc. But they do a great job at what they are designed for. The only thing I don't like is that the shape of the jaws is such that there is a gap at the base of the closure, so putting something like stranded wire or paracord deep into the jaws means the cut is not completely clean, the innermost part of the item cannot be reached by the jaws.

Great knipex quality as usual, but they are overpriced...
Like most KNIPEX products, these are great quality German made mini cutters. The grips are comfortable and the cutting edges are sharp. These are great German made mini cutters and I'm sure they will perform well. The issue is that these things are basically $30 after tax. Tell me why these are the same price as their cobras, or their needle nose pliers? These things are way overpriced for what they are. I highly recommend you go with the Tsunoda mini cutters instead. They are half the price and are high quality Japanese made mini cutters. They are made in Japan, they come in several different styles, which range from comfort grip or dipped, and come in standard, thin blade, or bent (90°). The cutters are sharp and precise as well. You cant really go wrong with either brand and they are both phenomenal mini cutters, but I personally think the Tsunoda cutters are the way to go. For those of you unfamiliar with Tsunoda, they are a Japanese tool company who makes a long list of pliers, cutters, crimpers, and other tools that are mostly made in Japan. I personally have around 2 dozen of their products and they all perform very, very well! They are EXTREMELY affordable and about 95% of their products are made in Japan. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed!!

Excellent qiuality snips. No sharp nose makes it particalarly useful as it wouldn't rip your pockets. The only downside is that it doesn't open wide enough for cutting 1.5mm 3-core flex cable.

Well, anyone who owns KNIPEX, knows the standard of tool they make. For me, of course I haven’t had every brand in the world, but, since I was a kid (I’m a senior now) I’ve had tons of different brands and types. For pliers and cutter of this type, nothing beats KNIPEX. The quality of build, design, quality control, longevity is next to none. Not to say every other brand stinks, obviously, and one has to feel comfortable paying nearly twice as much for a KNIPEX tool than most other brands. But, I’d say if you’re a pro it’s totally worth it. If you’re a DIY hobbyist and like nice things (and can afford them) then it’s totally worth it. These tools perform better, last longer and you feel more confident using them as they build stuff with little or no compromise (at least for pliers and cutters). These cutters are very sharp. They fit perfectly in the hand and with the offset they will cut wires, plastics (think zip ties) even soft metal inline with a flat surface. In other words these cutters cut very close. Love it. I’m amazed they have been doing it for some time now on a grand scale and have yet to lose the qualities that have brought them here. Hopefully they will always make the best pliers and cutters on the consumer market. Anyways, if ya can pay the price, ya won’t be disappointed, but yes they are expensive. Nevertheless I highly recommend them.
