ClarkeSweetone Key of D Traditional Irish Tin Penny Whistle -- Blue

I’m trying to teach myself to play “Concerning Hobbits”. If I wasn’t such a lousy student I’d have it mastered by now!Great tin whistle!

I have a black version that I ordered years and years ago directly from Clarke. I ordered this blue one for my son so he can start learning a musical instrument. Since I've learned how to play a pennywhistle I thought it would be better to start my first grader out with one as well rather than the traditional recorder that most of us learned how to play in school (and learned how to play poorly I might add.) He quickly learned how to hold it and play a few notes in no time. Came in perfect condition. Did take a while to be shipped, but as is expected with shipping from the UK to the US. Of all the low priced pennywhistles, Clarke's are my favorite both in sound and build quality.

Not sure why so many people complain about the seam on the back... I guess if you have sensitive fingers it'd be a bother but the sound is so nice I don't even notice it...Love it!

I am a beginner, can't read music, thought I'd try this whistle. It is easy to handle, and whistles clear and clean "notes" even for me.

I love my whistle--the tone is just like that of my teacher who has a much more expensive instrument.
