I absolutely love my slow feeding dog bowl purchase! It has made such a difference in my dog’s eating habits—he no longer gulps down his food and now eats at a much healthier pace. The design is perfect for slowing him down without frustrating him. It’s also incredibly convenient since it’s dishwasher safe, making cleanup a breeze. I’ve had it for over a year now, and it’s held up perfectly with no signs of wear. Durable, effective, and easy to clean—this bowl has been a total game changer!

Good quality, works great!
This product was exactly what I expected and needed. It slows my dog, who was a gulper, down to a slow, steady, relaxed pace and occupies him for a lot longer than a regular bowl. Durable, easy to wash. Highly recommend.

Slow eating dog dish
I purchased this because my dog gobbled her food down. This has slowed her down tremendously. I think it's a good idea and it works great.

It is effective
Update on purple flower (LG):My dog was too spastic when eating from the blue puzzle slow feeder. It causes me grief. So I bought the "slowest" one, the purple flower. At first, she took more time and was calmer with it, taking 13-5 minutes to clear the bowl as she was trying to figure out how/where to access the food. After a couple of weeks, she can completely clear the bowl in 8-10 minutes but most of it gone within 4-5 minutes. The nice thing is her droopy ears don't dangle in the food as much since the purple flower is more shallow. It's also a hint wider. So that helps keep her ears from smelling like watered down dog food. And it's a color and shape I like. They both hold her 1.5 cups of kibble plus 16 oz of water, no problem. Just that the purple one is a little more easily tipped when I carry it to her dinner tray.I think that each of these slow feeder bowls should help slow down many dogs. Just find the one you like.Original review re blue puzzle (LG):Thank you Outward Hound for creating another intelligent dog product and for preserving my sanity. My hound doesn't drink enough unless I add water to her food. This causes her to be very enthusiastic about eating.Left alone with a large Durapet bowl, 1.5 cups of kibble/freeze dried food, some canned food, pumpkin puree, and 20-24 oz water, it's gone in 3 minutes. Too stressful for me due to risk of vomiting or bloat or stomach flip.If I have to micromanage her with the open bowl, it's stressful for both of us and she inhales a lot of air = burping and some flatulence. No good.Feed her with this blue puzzle feeder (LG 4 cup size) and she takes 1-3 minutes to finish the liquid, and 10 minutes more to consume most of the food. Total time is about 15 minutes for her to get all of the food cobsumed. I ask her to pause a few times and stretch out mealtime a little longer.I just returned the orange and teal ones without using them since this one looked best for us upon arrival and it is all we need. She's a 55# Rhodesian Ridgeback and she can just fit her jaw in there some. Perfect her her size of dog. For smaller dogs, I'd consider the other ones or the smaller ones. And I ordered a couple of extras just in case. She doesn't yet chew or bite the bowl (she's a gentle omega dog) but when you find something that works well, you're dependent upon it, and it's on prime days big deal for under $10, wise buys extra!).This bowl holds 4 cups wet or dry as advertised on the "box". For my girl, she gets nearly 2 cups wet and dry mixed plus up to 24 ounces of water and there is some room to spare. My only complaint is that it shifts around on the silicon feeding mat I use. So to prevent her from stepping in the slop from her water lapping, I need to micromanage her. Thus 4 stars. But it's otherwise an absolutely fantastic tool that we couldn't live without. I strongly recommend!

Great bowl for slowing down chow hounds
This bowl is awesome! It really helped to slow our dog's eating down. It worked perfectly and I'm only upset that we didn't buy this earlier.

Great design!
Perfect for my food-obsessed golden who was completely inhaling his kibble before we switched to this bowl. Now he has to work for it! Nice, heavyweight plastic and doesn’t slide around. The tight swirl design makes access a real challenge and slows our boy down a LOT. Love it!

A must have for dog owners
As a devoted pet owner always on the lookout for ways to enhance my dog's life, I stumbled upon this version of a Slow Feeder Bowl, and it's been nothing short of a game-changer. Here's why I believe this bowl deserves a place in every dog owner's home:A Healthier Dining Experience: The primary reason for investing in this bowl was to address my dog's fast eating habits. It has done a remarkable job in slowing her down. No more frantic gobbling, and subsequently, no more worries about bloat or the dreaded upset stomach. It's a relief to see her savoring her meals at a healthier pace.Generous Capacity: This bowl easily accommodates around 4 cups of dry dog food, making it perfect for larger breeds or dogs with hearty appetites.Nonslip Design: The nonslip edges are a bonus. They keep the bowl firmly in place, even when my dog enthusiastically tackles her meal. No more chasing the bowl around the kitchen floor!Effortless Cleaning: The fact that this bowl is dishwasher safe is a huge plus. It simplifies post-meal cleanup, ensuring a clean and hygienic eating experience for my pup.Mental Stimulation: What sets this slow feeder apart is its deeper ridges. They require my dog to work a bit harder for each bite. It's not just about slowing down; it's a mental exercise too. Watching her strategize to get every last piece of kibble is both entertaining and rewarding.Affordable Excellence: Perhaps the most surprising aspect is the price. It's a fraction of the cost of other slow feeders on the market. I was initially skeptical about quality, but I'm thrilled to report that it's sturdy and built to last.In summary, this Large Blue Slow Feeder Bowl has made mealtime safer and more engaging for my dog. It promotes healthier eating habits, mental stimulation, and it's easy on the wallet. If you're a dog owner who values your pet's well-being and enjoys watching them savor mealtime in a healthier, more mindful way, don't hesitate to make this fantastic investment. It's a win-win for both you and your furry friend.
