Exceeds Expectations
I had 20 NES game cartridges, but nothing to play them on. Instead of investing a huge sum to buy an old used game console, I began researching so-called clone units. The Gamerz Tek console was well reviewed in several forums, so I thought I'd take a chance. A few reasons for the choice: first the price, it was under $20 on Amazon. Next. it advertised that it played 97% of licensed Nintendo games. Also it came with a one year warranty, so I thought what do I have to lose? The unit came within a couple of days, it was easy to set up and came with everything necessary to fire it up. The instructions came with some good advice, such as never blow into the game cartridge and clean the games periodically. Rather than use a swab and alcohol, I still had a cleaning kit from bygone days. I cleaned all 20 games and immediately 17 of them worked. The other 3 required multiple cleanings, but eventually they worked also. The graphics look good and the sound was OK. I also plugged in an old turbo joystick and it worked too. Rather than investing a bundle on some used games, I thought about buying one of these "100 in 1" game cartridges for about 30 bucks from eBay, but I was concerned with the caveat "plays officially licensed" games. So emailed customer support at Gamerz Tek and asked them. I received an answer in less than a day and they said they tried two different types of the multi-game cartridges and they worked, So I took a chance, ordered one and it came a couple of days ago. So far, I've tested about 20 of the 143 game that were included and they all play just fine. So for an investment of less than $50, I have a gaming console and over 100 games to play. Not bad. Highly recommended.

Controllers are worth the cost alone. Console...not so much.
Nearly perfect NES clone for only $20 with a couple minor nitpicks. Firstly, it’s tricky removing your games because the console puts a death-grip on them. Secondly, the console is super lite and slides around but I remedied this by using double sided Velcro tape on my shelf to anchor it in place. With the nitpicks out of the way this clone works perfectly, the controllers are sturdy and comfortable, and the best thing…NO INPUT LAG! (use “game mode” on TV). So far I’ve thrown 5 games at it and only one didn’t work but this is probably the cart itself (Blaster Master).Sept 2019 update: I've ran into several games that require me to actually REMOVE the game chip from the plastic NES housing for them to work. This is bothersome as, to remove the game chips from the console, requires plyers which may end up damaging the game. Console was only $20 so I'll be tossing it and looking elsewhere to play my NES games. The gamepads are great and worth $20 alone so it's not a total loss.Final update: Ended up getting an authentic 8-bit NES with a new 72 pin connector and all is well. However, I'm still using the controllers that came with the clone system and, in my opinion, are worth the $20 price alone.

I really can't Believe it
Works pretty good. The 8 bit entertainment system plays every game I throw at it and even plays games off my Everdrive... So all you guys or gals out there that play roms on an everdrive this is for you. The build quality isn't bad for being under $20.00 but the real surprise in the box was the two AMAZING controllers... This system hands down has the best aftermarket controllers on the market, I have been playing my NES for 27 years now and I really cannot tell the difference between these controllers and the official Nintendo controllers. So HIGH FIVE TO GAMERZ TEK for that.I have had zero issues trying to get this to work with the everdrive at stated and even my game genie works with it. Another really great point with this is I don't have any scan lines or (Jail bars).... Normally even with the top loading NES you will get vertical lines on the screen and nothing with this one.... also the colors are really really good... they brighten up the games very well.... The Audio isn't bad just a little different and honestly unless you are SUPER hardcore collector the slight sound differences shouldn't bother you... I can't wait to save up and buy the SNES version.. so I can review that too... Super awesome hardware and legit sellers.
