The Free Press study recommends the creation of a trust fund paid for by new fees and taxes on adveritising in the private media.Aaron Klein documents the founder of Free Press, Robert W. McChesney, is an avowed Marxist who has recommended that capitalism be dismantled. McChesney says, "In the end, there is no real answer but to remove brick-by-brick the capitalist system itself, rebuilding the entire society on socialist principles". The "Manchurian President" ties Barack Obama and individuals of his administration to McChesney who is a professor at the University of Illinois and the former editor of the Marxist Journal, "Monthly Review".Arron Klein was among the first reporters to expose Obams's "green jobs" czar, Van Jones, who founded a communist organization and called, "Resistance Against the U.S. Government".Obama's "regulatory" czar, Cass Sunstein drew up a new "Fairness Doctrine" that includes the establishment of a panel of "nonpartissan experts" to ensure "diversity of views" on the airwaves. Sunstein says websites should be obliged to remove "false rumors" while libel laws should be altered to make it easier to sue for spreading such rumors. The Internet would no longer be free to express one's opinion since a controversial opinion might expose one to a libel suit. An example of a false rumor is the hateful remarks alleging an association between President Obama and former Weather Underground terroist William Ayers. Sunstein singles out radio talk host Sean Hannity for calling attention to the president's alledged associates.Sunstein wants to ban what he calls conspiracy theorizing. According to Sunstein, argueing that global warming is a fraud would qualify as conspiracy theorizing. Sunstein recommends that tax paid government agents infiltrate extremists who advance conspiracy theories and disrupt their efforts.With almost 900 citations, "The Manchrian President" is one of the most exhaustive investigations ever performed on Obama's political background and radical ties.

'The Manchurian President' is the extensively researched testament Of Leftist mechanizations to infiltrate and undermine the United States of America. Obama is simply the 'point man' in the effort to destroy the Republic. This book documents the people--Marxists, Socialists, radical Muslims, Communists, Black Nationalists, Loonie-Tunes 'Idealists--who not only shaped Obama's ideologies but promoted him as one of their own.Saul Alinsky--a man Obama never personally met--stands as one of the most influential individuals not just in Obama's political development, but in the development of the majority of Leftists who associated with and/or influenced Obama. The list of Leftists associated with Obama is long and convoluted as is the list of Leftist organizations that Obama supported and, in turn, supported Obama. If I can make one criticism, this book is almost too detailed. As such, it can, perhaps, be regarded as a reference work as opposed to light reading.The details of the insidious Left infiltration of the Presidency and, perhaps more importantly, of many of our institutions--education, unions, media, law and the conservation movement--could lead to pessimism but I think it is important to step back and take a broader perspective. The authors of this book document a relatively small cadre of extremists who have gained influence by, generally speaking, flying beneath the radar of general American conscousness. It also should be noted that Barack Obama has a quality shared by virtually no other Leftist. He is both well-spoken and affable. Radical Leftists, in general, are incapable of presenting themselves other than shrill, dogmatic and unpleasant. Obama broke this mold which is why the Left promoted him to high office and the uninformed public voted for him. He was charismatic and seemed 'nice'. Then again, many used car salesmen share similar qualites.On the other hand, the 'Manchurian President' documents an entirely different Obama--a man of the far left 'tolerant', at a bare minimum, of communists--individuals who wish to demolish American institutions. But--this is NOT the way he presented himself as a candidate nor is it the way he tries to present himself as President. This book, as much as anything else, proves Obama to be an artful and consummate liar. Then again, why does Obama lie? It's because the truth would destroy him. If he had run for President as a Left Wing candidate whose idea for 'change' was to wreck the U.S. Constitution, he would, of course, have been defeated. If he, even now, stood up tall and identified himself as a Marxist, tolerant of radical Islam and communism, he would be pilloried. Therefore he lies. which is quite in accord with Alinsky's priciples. I rather suspect, however, by watching Obama's innumerable speeches that lies come even easier to him than many politicians suggesting long experience in untruths.Still, this book, while detailing facts, doesn't really delve into seemingly contradictory aspects of Obama and the Left. Radical Islam, as practiced by the Iranian Mullahs, the Taliban and Al Qaeda, is arguably the most reactionary, right wing movement in the world, yet the Left is rather remarkably permissive of it and blames the U.S. for radical Islamic terror. Fascinatingly, Obama is the embodiment of this Left-paradox. He was trained in Islam as a child but grew into a Left Wing extremist. Combined with his virtual abandonment as a child, these personal schisms might well explain the inner man.

Actually I have not read the book yet, but knowing of Aaron Klein it must containinteresting revelations. Once I have the time I could give more details.

If you want to understand what's REALLY happening in the US today, you need to read this book. It's not particularly well-written, but the research behind it is very detailed and interesting. You will NEVER read any of this in the British press, because the British media accept verbatim what the US mainstream media are putting out, really a form of censorship. This is the real story of Obama's background from the time he came to the US.

A very well researched book on who Barack Obama really is and what he really believes, often hidden behind his words that seem one thing but mean something completely the opposite. Well worth reading.

I bought this book through recomendation and although it may be surprising to some in reality it does not say what I don't know. It basically takes off naming the radicals that take part in Obama's think tanks and his dodgy background. Yes he has some people who support or supported in the past the Cuban administration and other Marxist banana dictatorships , the Black panther movement, accorn, etc...i am convinced that the Democratic Party is actually quite infiltrated by people of the far left . Obama's policies towards Israel, the Missile shield in Poland and the Czech republic, his bending down to America adn the West enemies, his constant ellbow to its traditional allies such as Poland and the UK, The dreadful Falklands issue supporting megalomaniac lunatic Argentine President, etc...but the truth is a lot of people don't care, the people born during the eighties, nineties and beyond dont know what communism is and the leftists who have infiltrated the education system have turned this generation into a bunch of idiots who only care on spending their money at shopping malls or follow retarded subcultures like the EMO movement the problem is that people don't know anything, we are turning into ignorants and the worst of all is that people voted for this person based only on that he was glamorous, young and the guy who was against him was an "old" dinosaur (eventhough that man was imprissoned in a Vietnamese jail for five years in has done more for his country in two minutes than Obama has done in all his life) but people dont know or seem to care.Obama (and i think he will win in November) is probably the worst president the US has ever had and his ideals and goals are against western european judeo christian values, problem is people don't realizeThe fault of this book is that , although shocking, it does not deal with Obama's policies in Europe and the rest of the world and focusses on the people who are part of his administration.
