Perfect for what it is
Review after a few uses: perfect for what it is. On the scale of "Work mule named Daisy" to "my lazy kid that never clean up anything" I would give this a very heartfelt "Daisy".The most important thing to know as a buyer is that this Turboflator is a re-branded Kwik Tek Airhead 12v pump. So if you are shopping, check those, too. Difference is this one does not come with the 1.5 psi limiter, but the hole is there. If you want more pressure than 1.5 psi, put your finger over the hole. I got dangerously close to 3 psi (ratting on my boat) before I chickened out.My take on some issues listed about both the Kwik Tek version and this one:Hose - mine was fine, take care of it, store pump hose in a solid container and it won't get squished. Mine was black, more vinyl-ish, not like the one pictured, and maybe it was improved from earlier reported issues.Fittings - didn't have the one for my raft, but could get by by linking this hose to the old raft- pump hose,so no issues (plus longer hose!) Don't buy a pumps for fittings, buy pumps for pumping. You capiche?Noise: oh please. Pumps are LOUD, spend time ear a vacuum cleaner lately? Or an AC unit? Pumps are loud, there are no quiet air pumps. Stop being an idiot.Seals - tight enough for this walrus.Overheating and filling time - Mine didn't get troublesomely hot. I used it for less than the 15 minutes-at-a-time, as recommended in the instructions. This pump filled my 14ft raft so quickly I can't imagine needing it for 15 minutes straight. In addition, I generally stopped a minute between raft sections, so maybe that helped with the cooling? I can't imagine what kind of inflatable for which you would use a portable 12 volt pump which needed more air than this unit can blow in 15 minutes. This is a travelling kind of thing, what do you travel with that could be needing more air than a raft or boat tow-able? Wait, you're not from that reality TV family from Nevada with the kid in the backyard balloon, are you? If you are, buy a 120v regular electric air pump and an extension cord, that will get the kids airborne so much faster, and won't overheat. You don't want overheated pumps fouling up an otherwise great day child aeronautics.All-in-all a good pump for what it is intended.

Worked until it didn't
Worked well for about 2 years. It was used about every other saturday during the summer months. Sounds like the fan came loose from the motor. We used it to fill up towable tube occasionally and 3 river tubes if we weren't using the towable. Took breaks like the directions said so it didn't overheat. 4 months a year of use, 3 days out of each month, 12 uses a year, for the last 4 years. 48(ish) total uses. That's almost a dollar each time I used it. I would have thought it would have lasted longer than that.

Works very well for large tubes.
This one looks well made. Actually is high pressure 2psi and made out large tube very tight quickly. Our tube is too large to inflate at the dock. It takes up too much room on the boat. So we want to inflate it while on the water. This pump works. It's noisy, but only for a few minutes. Appears to be well made.

Great little pump
I have a classic accessories pontoon boat. This pump has both pontoons inflated in less than 3 minutes!

This pump works well so far. I was just surprised at how HOT the discharge becomes when filling a large Tow Tube.

Pump burned out on first use
I first used this pump a week after the return window closed and it got very hot within 5 minutes. We turned it off but apparently too late, it smoked and we smelled burning plastic. We were inflating an inflatable kayak so this was under light to moderate use.I'm very disappointed and I'd recommend choosing a different pump.
