Such a wonderful little book
Such a wonderful little book!! It's jam packed full of great design tips, inspiration and was extremely well researched. Did you know NASA can teach you something about having a zen and cheerful home? A wonderful read on Sunday with coffee, and I will certainly be giving this book as a gift as well!!

Pretty but not worth spending money on
It's a very attractive little book- nice graphics, heartwarming photos, pleasant text. I could imagine giving it as a gift. I picked it up in library as a free substitute for a 'Home and Garden' type magazine...something to browse over a coffee. Answered the remit perfectly.I can't envisage anyone BUYING it for themself. Pleasant half hour's perusal, but honestly nothing you haven't read a million times already. And it becomes rather amorphous- from its original agenda of creating a 'happy uplifting home' (articles on colour, plants, lighting) the author seems to run out of material and it sort of seeps into a book on health and beauty (ways to improve your relationship! take up dog walking! put lavender in your bath!)

Even adding this book added to the happy design in my home!
I love this book. The writer went to the most interesting sources of information to find out what we can do in our homes to increase our happiness. After reading chapter one all I wanted to do was go to a greenery with the book under my arm. The book is beautifully styled and I love the writing style. It's funny and easy to read, while still being informative and interesting.

Happy Happy Happy!
This book is fantastic. It inspiring, even to those of us who "cba" tidying, arranging, etc. Just a few little tips incorporated into my room have made me so much happier and made it such a nicer space for me.All the chapters are super easy to read, easy to pick up at random, and have some really interesting research in them. This book covers all areas of how design can make us happy, it doesn't subscribe to one school of thought but instead it feels like Victoria Harrison has done the work in the library for you. She's already sifted through the papers and studies, and put the results into a gorgeous (seriously one of the prettiest books I've ever bought) easy to understand book.I can't recommend this book enough if you're feeling a bit glum in your home, or living space. Even if you're not, I bet you can find some useful ideas!

Gets the creative juices flowing.
I've done the first chapter and had a flick through the rest. It's good. Inspirational. A solid jumping off point for home projects that you want to put your own stamp on or for completing as is. I plan to work through a bit at a time when time and money allow.

Every home should be a happy home!
I've only read the sampler as this book isn't out yet but I will definitely be buying the whole thing. It's full of neat little tips and tricks that are easy to put into practice but that I can tell will have a real impact on the overall feel of your home. Such a pretty design too and I think it would make a great gift for loved ones. After all, who doesn't want to feel happy in their home? PS this book has reawakened my desire to get a dog!

Beautiful Book, a definite must read!
I pre-ordered this book and couldn’t wait for it to arrive. It’s so beautifully designed with super cute illustrations. I’m only part-way through it but so far I love it! I think it’s so easy to overlook the impact our homes have on our stress levels. I’m just looking to design my home so the timing couldn’t be more perfect. The tips and advice are simple and effective. It’s beautifully written and very motivating. I can’t wait to read the rest and put the tips and advice into practice!

Easy and affordable ways to make your abode, large or small, cheerful and homely!
A delightful book illustrated by Debbie Powell throughout the text, and including photographs. There is plenty of colour in this book about making a house a happy home. It is an upbeat guide to plants, colour, scent, light, and organisation. I've already started including houseplants that release oxygen during the night, as well as other ones, and this first step has helped me get started on re-arranging and refreshing and brightening my home.
