Sucks in all the right ways
This Intex handheld pool vacuum has officially become the most responsible adult in our household. While the rest of us are floating around like sunburned sea otters, this little champ is down there scrubbing like it’s got a mortgage to pay.First off, it’s rechargeable, which means no cords trying to strangle me while I attempt to clean the pool (and our hot tub). The telescoping shaft makes me feel like some sort of pool-cleaning Gandalf—you shall not pass, algae. And the interchangeable brush heads? Fancy. I didn’t know I needed options to scrub my pool floor, but now I feel like I’m giving it a spa day. It’s powerful, easy to use, and honestly kind of meditative. Just me, the vacuum, and the slow satisfaction of watching gunk disappear like magic. My pool hasn’t been this clean since… ever.Highly recommend if you want something that makes you look like you know what you're doing out there. Just be warned: you may start vacuuming for “fun” like I do now. It’s a weird new personality trait, but here we are.

Great vacuum for above ground pools
I love this vacuum! This is the second one I bought. The first one started not holding charge quite aa long, after 3 years, but still works. I typically vacuum my pool once a week and charge the vacuum the night before. If you skim your pool daily and keep a cover on it when not in use this vacuum will be perfect for a smaller pool. If your pool is inground or over 24’ round then I’d recommend looking into a different vacuum. I would also recommend purchasing extra pool socks for the vacuum. Using it without the sock picks up the bigger items, leaves and such but misses a lot of the smaller particles.I vacuum my pool in sections, pull the vacuum out and change the sock and continue. Suction will decrease if the sock is full. Normally I use 4 socks each week. I put them right through my washer and they’re ready for the next time!

Hope this one lasts longer
I bought this again. The first one lasted 2 years. It worked well to start but started having issues with the power switch. Vacuums fine particles with the mesh filter bag included. I couldn't find replacements for the bag, so I bought the ones in the link below. It catches sand and even pollen. I wish the head opening was wider so it would have a larger footprint. for such a small item the suction is great. It's light weight, easy to use, design is nice, durable for the price and clears your water. I use it without the handle for the hot tub. Perfect. 4 stars is because the first one quit working. Could be my fault. TIPs - always let it dry completely before charging. Don't forget to close the charging port cover. Turn it on under water. Turn it off under water. Make sure you have it close to the surface before you turn it off to avoid debris leaking out. The replacement bags are larger, but they work fine. If I don't have issues with this one, I'll change to 5 stars. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09B9RJY48/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You might get one year out of it
I bought this last summer to use in my above ground pool. I was using a cheap little vacuum that attached to my hose and really wanted something better that could hold more debris because my neighbors have Maples and the little helicopters that fall early in the season were the bane of my existence. I had a friend order this one and said she liked it, so about a week after she tried hers, I decided to get the same one. Before the summer was over my friend had to get hers replaced because it stopped working, but mine lasted all summer last year (2021). I was not super impressed with it but it did work. It got the helicopters and the leaves out but even with the microfiber bag, it was missing a lot of the finer particles which is fine, I needed to get a better filter anyway. This vacuum clogged really easily and I had to empty it several times before I could finish my whole pool. (18X48 Intex) I would do two or three swipes then have to check it and shove the leaves down in there to clear it out so it would regain suction. The battery power lasted long enough to do the pool, but just barely. There were one or two times the pool was really dirty and I had to charge it again before finishing. After the season was over, I winterized my pool and kept this in dry storage. This summer (2022) I got everything set up and ready to go and when I went to plug this in to charge it, it would not light up or charge at all. I borrowed a power cord that I knew worked from my friend, and it would charge hers but not mine. So I went through Amazon to inquire about the warranty and was directed to Intex. I emailed them only to be told my situation required a phone call. I called Intex and was told they were very busy and I could be put on a call back list and my place in line would be held and I would be called back when it was my turn. I got a call back about 3 hours later. It ended up that this product only has a one year warranty and I was about 2 weeks past my warranty date when I called. She suggested I could get online and order a new vacuum body for $80. I paid $129 for the whole thing last year and a new one looks like it is $80 on here now so that didn't help me at all. I am just using my old hose-powered vacuum now and my pool looks great. It was $15 bucks at Big Lots and I swapped the little debris bag that came with it for a tube sock and it works great! Save your money on this one. It wont' last.
