Excellent rub for chicken or pork
This company also makes an excellent chicken rub. Tried this one on pork, then another time on chicken. Remember with RUBS that they are not a sprinkle and cook now spice. Rubs are made to soak into meat. So if chicken or pork, was with water in sink, pat dry. Sprinkle a light amount of spice to all sides of meat. Then place on parchment paper and wrap. Then large plastic wrap to cover the parchment. I then write what meat and spice is inside. Into fridge for 2 days. When ready to smoke or grill, unwrap and you will see meat is wet as the rub has removed unwanted water from meat but tenderized and penetrated rub flavor into meat. This is how a rub does its job and you end up with very tasty meat. Very low salt flavor, more like a good medium flavor rub should taste like. When I buy a new spice, I open bottle, wet pinky, place into spice, then onto front of tongue where taste buds go to work. If spice has lots of something (especially salt or high msg) you will taste it immediately. Those I return for refund. The good spices do not use high salt as a filler and you will only taste other flavors. Does it taste like advertised? This one certainly does pass the taste test. Tried it for kicks with BBQ grilled pork chops. Amazing flavor according to my wife. Good stuff

This rub makes ribs taste fantastic. We have family and friends ask us how we make our ribs. This rub is the key thing that makes them great. Now they all buy the same rub. We have other rubs for other meats by this company. They are all great.

Really good! MSG isn’t need, though.
Really great rib rub for drier smokes. The MSG does too much of the heavy lifting and kind of masks what you could normally do with a quick wrap with some tallow. There’s a fair bit of it and gives you a “McRib” kind of phoniness. Wish there was an MSG free version, otherwise their spice proportions are great!

Don't run out
I love the flavor this gives meat. We use it on most all the meat we cook . I even add it to roast that I put in the crock pot . It is great to use to season gravies! Every time I share food I have seasoned with it , people want to know how I made it taste so good . I don't ever let myself run out !

Yummy !!!
I can't believe the number of different foods I use this on. Hashbrowns - yep. Ribs - yep. Ham steaks - yep. Pork chops - yep. Eggs - yep. Chicken - yep. (Tried it on salad -- meh.) Slight dusting on salmon too. In my estimation (according to my tastebuds) if it's to be fried, grilled or smoked, this might be what you want....A nice modest kick that we enjoy. Not too spicy, but sure adds the YUM !!!
